"The Flowers of Red Hill" is a traditional Irish reel in the key of G major or A Dorian. The tune is also known as Bláthanna an Chnoic Rua, Anderson’s Reel, Paddy Taylor’s Reel, The Hod Carrier, The Queen of May, and Maids of Fair Hill.
We are the Guardians “Between Stone and Storm” (original). Stone, a metaphor for memory, ancestors, land, and permanence. “Storm” a metaphor for chaos, change, fate, invasion, and time. We are the living bond that endures to maintain balance between these polarities.
Turlough O'Carolan's tune that's sometimes referred to simply as "Tune No. 176". He was a blind, itinerant harpist who composed music for a living by traveling from house to house, primarily for wealthy patrons.
“With His Grace” is a tribute to all those acts of kindness in times of need we all may face at one time or another in our journeys! #fiddle #celticmusic #acoustic
Don Tremaine’s Reel was composed by Barrie, Ontario fiddler Graham Townsend, (copyright 1961) and named for the announcer of the CBC television show "Don Messer's Jubilee." The melody is a past favorite at New England Contra Dances.
