I understand the decision but it really does suck for me personally.
I think to make this decision it would have been much better if set PG and set 1/2 could also get best ofs so that the people that have been grinding for set 1 overnumbered plated legends can still have something to fight for outside of 58
I know a lot of players tend to value EV so I understand their outlook and that they want to shut down collusion as easily as possible and I think this is a great way to do it.
I think everyone I am close with knows i don’t care about EV and am a very emotional and sentimental person. That being said the thought of being the best Yi player in the room and not getting rewarded a Yi for it makes me so sad. Everyone I’ve talked to can vouch that I have said I will be playing the Yi in Vegas if I won it at this event which will prove to be much more difficult but I will stick to my love and try my best

Heron Irelia requires your opponent does very specific sequencing. Rengar has many tools and possible sequences. I beat two Rengars in LA because I'm powerful but it's a pretty cool matchup.
Here's my solve:
As the resident player of both decks idt can know where zhonya and tide r hidden. I'd prob invert what the irelia did tbh as it's harder to solve or keep tide in hand
Given irel hand I'd rather kill stella than anything else as Rengar
Swing pookie+kinkou at irelia pass. Forces hidden flip. Zhonyas I just conquer and proc on irelia. Tide shouldn't be flipped yet
Now I swing kinkou+kaisa at sunken offering trade on heron. Have to play around switch/2nd zhonya.
Those two trade now I rengar the 5 might Stella. Punch a switch or attempt to turner irelia to bf. Grim on seat just a normal flip. Conquer to 6
Bird eats irelia in base if necessary
Hold up punch for bird boot accelerate and hope they didn't top defiant
