Day 2 of revisiting JavaScript
Today wasn't really about writing code. It was about understanding what happens behind the code we write.
I revisited three terms: LLM, ALL, and HLL.
MLL (Machine-Level Language) is closer to the language a computer's hardware can work with. 0's and 1's
ALL (Assembly Language) uses instructions and mnemonics that are easier for humans to read than raw machine code.
HLL (High-Level Language) is what we use to write code in languages like JavaScript, Python, and C++.
But here's the thing: the processor doesn't directly understand JavaScript the way we write it.
Our code needs to be translated into instructions the computer can execute. Depending on the language and runtime, this can involve a compiler, an interpreter, or both.
I also revisited the microprocessor, an electronic chip that executes instructions and performs calculations. It doesn't decide what to do by itself; it follows instructions.
And finally, three basic terms:
Programming is the process of creating instructions to solve problems.
A program is a set of instructions a computer executes to perform a task.
A programmer is the person who writes, tests, and maintains those instructions.
Sometimes, going back to the basics reminds you that there's a lot happening behind the simple lines of code we write every day.
Day 2 done. Back tomorrow.
Day 1 of revisiting JavaScript.
No deep dives. No trying to learn everything in one day. Just going back to the basics and understanding JavaScript again.
JavaScript was created by Brendan Eich in 1995. It allows us to make websites dynamic and interactive instead of just displaying static content.
One thing I revisited today is how JavaScript runs in the browser.
Browsers have their own JavaScript engines that execute our code.
For example:
Chrome - V8
Firefox - SpiderMonkey
Safari - JavaScriptCore
You can even write and run JavaScript directly in your browser's console. No setup needed.
I also revisited what a server is.
A server can be a computer or software that receives requests, processes them, and sends responses back to other computers or applications.
Simple things, but worth revisiting.
Following the process from TAP ACADEMY on YT.
Back to the basics. Let's see how far this goes. 🚀
GM GM Techies...
I'm currently going through JavaScript again.
Not because I can't build with it, but because there's always a difference between knowing how to write code and deeply knowing why it works.
If you're still finding your way on Javascript, let's connect 🌏
Let's revisit the fundamentals.
A Moving man will meet his luck, I do not know what I'm doing but I trust who's in control.
Who's up and building?

I want to connect with more people building interesting things in Enugu.
Developers. Designers. Founders. Product people. Tech community builders.
If you're one of them, let me know what you're working on.
GM GM Techies...
If you're a software developer in Enugu, reply with your stack.
React? Next.js? Flutter? Python? Java? Something else?
Let's find out what people are building with.
Sometimes it just needs someone to speak up. Your voice matters and I’m glad someone did.

Some people are looking for job, some are looking for career, some are just looking for money.
Then there is me, I just want to be eating and be complaining that Tinubu want to kill all of us.
An unpopular opinion:
You don't have to be the most technically gifted person in the room to contribute meaningfully to tech.
You can build, teach, document, connect people or help someone else get started.
The ecosystem needs all of it.
Enugu developers, let's gather here.
What do you do in tech, and what are you currently building?
I want to know the people behind the tech scene in this city.
Good Morning Techies
I decided to do it again...
I'll be embarking on a journey I already finished again.
JAVASCRIPT
With TAP Academy on YouTube, the aim is to refresh my brain once again.
40 lessons for 40 days and I'll be dropping tweets on each day.
What a wonderful Day !
GM GM to those it's morning to.
Lovely Sunday, and it's not full till you go to church.
Hope you went to church today ?
Good morning Techies...
You don't have to know everything before you start building.
Learn what you need, apply it, make mistakes, and keep improving.
You become better by combining what you learn with what you actually do
What a wonderful Day !!
