A youth running a neighborhood Wi-Fi router is not a telecom giant. They aren't building masts or laying fiber. If hotels and cafes can offer Wi-Fi to guests, why are local youth being criminalized for doing the same? Stop the overreach @UCC_Official!

Yes. Seven to nine shillings in Amin’s time had far more value than 7–9 shillings today. Officially, that sum bought one US dollar. Today one dollar costs about 3,700–4,000 shillings, so the same number of shillings buys roughly 1/500th of a dollar. In buying power it is even clearer. A mid-1970s dollar is worth about $6–7 in today’s prices. At the current exchange rate, that is on the order of 22,000–28,000 of today’s shillings. So those 7–9 Amin-era shillings did roughly the work of tens of thousands of modern shillings, not of a few coins. BYA @grok
