Friday wrap-up: Crypto market highlights
📊 Bitcoin clawed back to $82K after dipping below $81K overnight. The drop followed mixed Tesla and Meta earnings, which revived doubts over AI spending. Gold, Asian stocks, and Nasdaq futures rebounded as the yen gave up early gains. Oil near $100 keeps inflation risks in focus.
💸 Bitcoin ETFs flipped October positive, then slipped back into the red. A $1.07B three-day inflow streak put the month about $460M in the green, but Thursday’s $635M outflow pushed the total negative again. Flows are choppy, but the institutional bid hasn’t gone away.
🚀 SpaceX and Tesla could merge, and together they’d hold about $2.5B in BTC. Musk confirmed both boards are studying the move. That would make one of the largest corporate bitcoin holders.
🏛 All eyes on the Fed next week. The FOMC meets Oct. 27-28, and 94 of 100 surveyed economists expect rates to hold. Nearly all of them forecast a hike in December, and markets are leaning the same way.
POV: Your community asks when the token is getting listed for the 47th time. 💀

🛢 Weekly price roundup (Oct. 14–21): Bitcoin's ETF bump, AI selloff, and an oil whipsaw
Bitcoin climbed back above $84K after dipping to $81.4K when chip stocks sold off over AI worries. A $526M IBIT inflow helped, but patchy ETF flows, rising oil and the AI trade question mark held the bounce back. Elsewhere, 16 companies are pushing back on tokenized stocks, and JPMorgan put its dollar token on Ethereum.
Here's the breakdown.
🚨 Key events
🗞 BTC bounces toward $83K after AI-driven dip
Bitcoin slipped to $81.4K as Asian chip stocks tanked after Elice's IPO fueled AI concerns. Solid US earnings helped the rebound along, but oil keeps climbing and nobody knows where the AI trade goes next.
Spot BTC ETFs took in $526.6M on October 19, all of it through BlackRock’s IBIT, though flows have been pretty uneven for the past month.
🗞 Oil whipsaws on mixed Iran reports
Qatar and Pakistan reportedly put forward a peace proposal that both sides gave a tentative nod to. Brent dropped $3 a barrel on the news.
A few hours later the reports of progress were denied and oil flipped, going above $111, the highest since May. The Nasdaq gave back its recovery and crypto followed.
🗞 Wall Street pushes back on tokenized stocks
Sixteen companies have now objected to their shares trading on OKXICE, the tokenized stock venue OKX and ICE are planning. Microsoft, Alphabet and Goldman Sachs joined the list this week.
Nasdaq says it will opt its own shares out of the SEC’s innovation exemption over concerns about best-price execution and trade reporting.
🗞 JPMorgan puts JPM Coin on Ethereum
JPMorgan’s Kinexys unit opened up its dollar deposit token to institutional clients on Ethereum mainnet. It was already live on Base.
Another sign TradFi and crypto are getting closer, though ETH price didn’t care. The token is for institutional payments, not a bet on ETH. Ether ETFs saw $103M in outflows the same day.
📊 Crypto performance (7 days)
Bitcoin (BTC) bottomed around $80K, couldn’t get back over $82K for a while, then pushed up toward $84.5K.
Currently at $84,461.69 (+2.6%)
Ether (ETH) dropped from $2.5K to $2,337, got back above $2.4K, slipped again, then rallied back toward $2.5K
Now at $2,495.95 (+1.6%)
↗️ Top weekly gainers
🔸 PEARL (+26.9%) Coinbase added it to its roadmap, which put its AI-powered Proof-of-Useful-Work model on people’s radar. Big volume and plenty of influencer hype drove the run.
🔸 VVV (+16.3%) Venice’s new model sends API subscription revenue into buybacks and burns, and the platform is reportedly past $100M in ARR. A bounce off $21 support and the launch of 21Shares’ VVV ETP on the SIX Swiss Exchange added fuel.
🔸 WLD (+15.7%) Worldcoin rolled out a new World ID product for banking and finance, built to verify real humans and fight AI-driven identity fraud. Short liquidations gave it an extra push.
📉 Top weekly losers
🔻 BTW (-34.0%) Cooled off after a parabolic run to an all-time high of $2.77 on October 14. Mostly profit-taking after such a steep climb, plus the general altcoin pullback.
🔻 STX (-12.9%) Traders took profits after the early-October rally. It had pumped on Bitcoin staking buzz and Q4 roadmap news, so plenty of people were happy to cash out.
🔻 CC (-8.6%) Slid with the rest of the market as macro nerves kicked in. Yearly token dilution may have weighed on it too, and the unclear DTCC Tokenization Service rollout kept buyers on the sidelines.

🔔 Macro alert: Meta, Tesla earnings & more (Oct. 19-23)
Earnings season picks up this week, with two Magnificent 7 names reporting Wednesday. Tesla and Meta matter to crypto for different reasons: Tesla carries Bitcoin on its balance sheet, while Meta’s AI spending is a gauge of the tech risk appetite that has tended to move with digital assets.
📱 Meta: AI spending under scrutiny
Meta reports Wednesday after the bell. Last quarter it launched an AI agent that was well received and has since been adapting it for businesses. The spending behind it weighed on profits, though, and investors want to know when returns will show up.
For crypto, Meta is a sentiment barometer. The AI trade has moved closely with digital assets for months, so upbeat commentary would support risk appetite, while cautious guidance could set off a broader pullback.
🏎️ Tesla: The Bitcoin balance sheet read
Tesla also reports Wednesday. It holds 11,509 BTC, worth roughly $932 million at current prices, and the quarterly results will show any mark-to-market gain or loss on that stack.
That makes this one of the few earnings reports that speaks directly to Bitcoin. A large write-up or write-down puts BTC’s volatility on a corporate balance sheet in front of a mainstream audience, and any comment from Elon Musk on crypto strategy would amplify the effect.
🏭 PMIs: Growth check
Friday brings the October flash PMIs. Both gauges are in expansion territory but cooling slightly, and for crypto, the direction matters more than the level. Signs of slowing growth would support the case for Fed patience, a friendlier backdrop for digital assets.
🔑 Key macro data
Earnings
• Meta - Oct. 21: AI spending and monetization in focus
• Tesla - Oct. 21: Bitcoin holdings mark-to-market; any crypto commentary
• IBM - Oct. 21: Software demand and server pricing trends
PMIs & labor
• Initial Jobless Claims - Oct. 22: Expected to edge up to 200K (from 199K)
• S&P Global Services PMI (Oct., flash) - Oct. 23: Projected to dip to 58.0 (from 58.8)
• S&P Global Manufacturing PMI (Oct., flash) - Oct. 23: Expected to decline to 55.5 (from 55.9)
☝️ Market-impact checklist
📌 Tesla earnings: A significant mark-to-market gain or loss on its Bitcoin holdings could shape sentiment directly. Musk commentary on crypto would amplify the move.
📌 Meta earnings: Bullish AI commentary would reinforce risk appetite, a tailwind for crypto. Cautious guidance could trigger a broader risk-off move.
📌 IBM earnings: Another read on enterprise tech demand. Strong results would add to the risk-on tone, weak ones would feed AI-trade doubts.
📌 PMIs: Signs of slowing would boost expectations for Fed patience, favorable for digital assets. Resilient readings would keep pressure on rates.
📌 Jobless claims: Rising claims would strengthen the case for Fed patience, a positive macro backdrop. A further dip would keep hawkish expectations alive.
If you’ve wondered what 1,000 USDT turns into in the EBT sale, here’s the math.
1,000 USDT at 0.05 gets you 20,000 EBT. Purchase Booster tier at that amount adds 7%, which is 1,400 more. The code EBT5X adds 5%, another 1,000. Total: 22,400 EBT.
That’s the sale as it stands today. Here’s what’s planned for EBT holders:
✂️ Lower trading fees on EarnBIT
📈 Staking, so EBT you’re not trading can earn rewards
🚀 Early access to Launchpad projects before they open to everyone
📈 Token Booster in the mobile app, with bigger allocations and bonus rewards on eligible activity
📹 Streaming perks: donations to creators, exclusive content access, boosts and giveaways for viewers, monetization tools for streamers
🇷🇺 Pro tools like deeper analytics and custom overlays

Friday wrap-up: Crypto market highlights
🔼 Crypto is catching a risk-on bid. Bitcoin is back at $82K after Thursday’s dip to $80K, its lowest in a month. Falling bond yields are helping, with the 10-year Treasury easing to 5.09% from 5.36%. Solana leads the majors, up 3.6%.
⚖️ Yesterday’s selloff wasn’t really about crypto. Bitcoin, copper, stocks, and yields all fell together while gold rose 1%. It looks like a broad risk-off move with some stagflation undertones.
🚨 Strategy could be dropped from MSCI indexes. New rules would exclude companies that mainly hold investments rather than run real businesses. If MSTR is cut Nov. 30, JPMorgan estimates $2.8B in outflows. The stock is already down 72% from its 2024 peak. Funds would sell the shares, not the bitcoin.
🎤 Warsh speaks tonight. After hot CPI and PPI prints, traders expect the Fed Chair to lean even harder on hawkish talk. Markets are braced for more than one hike, and anything soft might be read as surrender.
POV: You sent your token listing application three weeks ago ⌛
Nobody’s replied and you’re starting to wonder if anyone actually read it.
Here’s how it works at EarnBIT: apply, get one checklist back within one business day, see the price before committing. After approval, the listing can go live in as little as 14 days.

💸 Weekly price roundup (Oct. 7–14): BTC recovers from $82K dip as Williams eases rate fears
Crypto took a beating Monday, with liquidations topping $770M, mostly longs. Then Fed President Williams said he sees no hikes in 2027, the dollar slipped, and Bitcoin climbed back toward $84K. Oil keeps pushing past $106, ETH ETFs ended a 10-day outflow streak, and Ledger wallets turned up with spy chips inside.
Here's the breakdown.
🚨 Key events
🗞 $770M liquidation cascade hits crypto 💥
Monday’s sell-off triggered $770M in liquidations, $685.6M of it longs. Analysts pointed to macro pressure, softer institutional demand, and cautious positioning ahead of the CPI report.
Bitcoin dipped under $82K before recovering. Open interest sank to its lowest level since February.
🗞 Fed comments spark a rebound 🏦
New York Fed President John Williams told Bloomberg he expects one more hike this year but none in 2027. The dollar weakened and the S&P 500 rose on his remarks, which helped crypto recover.
Markets aren’t fully sold, though: CME FedWatch still puts the odds of a December hike at 69.3%.
🗞 Ledger spy-chip theft drains $93M 🔓
Hackers hid covert chips in Ledger wallets sold through a Southeast Asia reseller. The implant grabbed 24-word recovery phrases off the screen and sent them out over LTE via an eSIM.
Losses may hit $93.2M across 300+ wallets. Tether froze $10M in USDT linked to the theft, and Trezor is now trimming its own reseller network. More in our YouTube short.
🗞 Blur shuts down as NFT market collapses 📉
Blur, once Ethereum’s biggest NFT marketplace, will close its frontend on November 12. Monthly volume dropped from $1.43B in March 2023 to under $7M by March 2026, a fall of more than 99%.
The platform never made money, booking $0 in protocol revenue over three years. BLUR plunged 30%+ on the news. It’s the second shutdown in ten days from builder Pacman, after Blast.
📊 Crypto performance (7 days)
💰 Bitcoin (BTC) dropped to $80,651 on Oct. 8, rebounded above $84K, then lost $82K. It jumped back but retreated in the past few hours.
Currently at $81,701.52 (-1.6%)
💰 Ether (ETH) fell to $2,413, tracked BTC’s recovery, briefly poked above $2,500, then eased off.
Now at $2,432.13 (-5.2%)
↗️ Top weekly gainers
🔸 BTW (+92.3%) — Attention is building around Bitway’s Bitcoin-compatible L1 and DeTraFi infrastructure. The Binance Wallet campaign that wrapped up in early October may have lifted retail interest.
🔸 BDX (+14.5%) — Climbed steadily, then extended gains on October 12. A broader rotation into mid-caps and interest in Beldex’s new developer SDK both helped.
🔸 STX (+13.4%) — Institutional interest in non-custodial Bitcoin staking keeps growing. The second Bitcoin bond, with 500 BTC of capacity, sold out. Participants have to buy and lock STX to get native BTC yield.
📉 Top weekly losers
🔻 PUMP (-22.2%) — An investigation found Solana sandwich bots pulled $29.7M over 11 months. Roughly 96% of attacks hit Pump.fun’s launch curve and PumpSwap.
🔻 M (-19.5%) — Thin liquidity, post-unlock selling, and tokenomics worries. It followed the wider market down while working through the unlock aftermath.
🔻 QNT (-14.4%) — Pulled back after a sharp run-up, with futures deleveraging adding to the drop. Still up 242% over the past month after The Clearing House picked Quant for its On-Chain Money Initiative.

🔥 Where do 200M EBT actually go?
Most token posts just say “great tokenomics” and move on. Here are the real numbers behind EBT.
The supply is capped at 200M. Nothing gets minted later.
Fees from the platform go toward burning tokens, so the amount in circulation can only shrink. And since EBT is what you use for lower fees, early access to projects, staking and the upcoming Streaming platform, there are multiple reasons to hold it.
Who gets what
🟢 Public sale: 124M (62%)
↳ Presale 20M
↳ Round 1 44M
↳ Round 2 36M
↳ Round 3 24M
🟣 Ecosystem and marketing: 50M
🔵 Team: 20M
⚪ Advisors: 6M
Most of the supply goes to the community, and the team holds 10%. Where the tokens are allocated tells you a lot about a project.
So what does this add up to?
EBT is wired into every part of EarnBIT. You pay lower fees with it, stake it, use it to get into new projects, and soon it powers Streaming too.
Each of those uses feeds the others. More products bring more users, more users mean more fees, more fees mean more burns, and a smaller supply makes every token count for more. The growth comes from people actually using the platform, and a hype cycle isn’t needed for any of it.
That’s the whole idea behind EBT: the more EarnBIT gets used, the more the token has to do.

🔔 Macro alert: CPI, Fed Chair's speech & more (Oct. 12-16)
Bitcoin is weighed down by rising crude prices, escalating Middle East tensions and climbing long-term Treasury yields. Now CPI and PPI take the spotlight: a hot reading would bring rate-hike talk back and add more pressure on digital assets. Markets will also zoom in on Fed Chair's Friday speech.
💵 CPI & PPI: The inflation test
Wednesday’s September CPI is the first to capture pricing after the Fed’s mid-September hike, and the headline is expected to run noticeably hotter than last month.
Thursday’s PPI is also projected to pick up. Together, hot prints would reinforce rate-hike expectations, lift the dollar and weigh on crypto.
🎙 Warsh’s speech: The “quieter” Fed doctrine
Friday’s speech is a first real test of the Fed Chair's new approach. He’s dropped forward guidance, and the Jackson Hole keynote made clear he doesn’t believe inflation has meaningfully cooled. Fed Chair's hawkish signaling has already pushed long-term Treasury yields to their highest since 2002.
Another hawkish lean keeps pressure on risk assets. A nod to AI-driven productivity gains could reshape the inflation outlook and complicate the Fed’s path.
🏦 Bank earnings: The institutional crypto signal
JPMorgan reports Tuesday, opening a wave of Q3 results from Bank of America, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs. For crypto, what truly matters is the commentary.
JPMorgan has been steadily building its digital asset exposure, including a larger position in spot Bitcoin ETFs such as BlackRock’s IBIT. Any remarks on those holdings during earnings calls give a live read on institutional appetite.
🔑 Key macro data
Inflation
• CPI (Sep.) - Oct. 14: Headline 0.6% MoM (from 0.4%), 3.6% YoY (from 3.4%); Core 0.2% MoM (from 0.3%), 2.5% YoY (from 2.4%)
• PPI (Sep.) - Oct. 15: Projected at 0.5% MoM (from 0.4%)
Consumer & labor
• Retail Sales (Sep.) - Oct. 15: Headline 0.3% (from 1.2%); Core 0.5% (from 1.4%)
• Initial Jobless Claims - Oct. 15: Expected to dip to 195K (from 197K)
Fed & earnings
• Fed Chair Warsh speaks - Oct. 16
• JPMorgan - Oct. 13, followed by BAC, C, WFC, MS, GS
☝️ Market-impact checklist
📌 CPI & PPI: A hot print (headline above 3.6%) would revive rate-hike fears, strengthen the dollar and push Bitcoin lower. A cooler reading would take some pressure off.
📌 Warsh speech: Hawkish signals would weigh on risk assets. Dovish nuance would offer relief.
📌 Retail sales: A sharp slowdown would point to consumer strain and strengthen the case for Fed patience, which is favorable for crypto. A strong print would do the opposite.
📌 Jobless claims: Rising claims support the case for Fed patience, a positive backdrop for crypto. A further dip would keep hawkish expectations alive.
📌 Bank earnings: Bullish crypto commentary or growing ETF stakes would reinforce institutional adoption, a tailwind for the market. A cautious tone could signal risk-off.
If you held EBT, what would you actually use it for first?

Friday wrap-up: Crypto market highlights
🚀 Bitcoin rebounded above $82K after Trump said the US won’t strike Iran before the November midterms. Selling ran out of steam near $80,300, and majors followed BTC higher. The blockade stays, but the fear trade is unwinding for now.
🐋 Bitmine is about to stop buying ETH. Chairman Tom Lee says the firm halts accumulation once it holds 5% of circulating supply, and it’s already at 4.9%. A major source of demand is about to go away.
🟥 Bitcoin ETFs bled $484.9M on Wednesday, the worst outflow since June 25. BlackRock’s IBIT took the biggest hit at $207.7M. One day wiped out 81% of the prior nine days’ inflows. Not a bank run, but a reality check.
⚡ Solana is about to halve its block times. The network moves to 200-millisecond blocks today, giving five block opportunities per second instead of 2.5. Wallets, exchanges, and traders get faster confirmations, though validators face higher costs and tighter windows.
