Let him COON in peace and live in his little bubble, thinking nothing will ever affect him because he doesn’t fit the negative stereotypes. Reality has a way of humbling people who think their personal success makes them exempt. Just like many others before him, he’ll eventually be reminded that no matter how much money he makes, how successful he becomes, or how “respectable” he is…he’s still a Black man in America. Doing well for yourself doesn’t make you immune to racism, and fitting zero stereotypes doesn’t mean racism won’t find you.

The midterms are our chance to elect leaders who will fight for the people.
