Giulio Cesare’s four horns 😍
The four horns were a particularly significant feature of this opera. At the time, the horn was still a relatively new addition to the orchestra and was primarily associated with hunting rather than a regular orchestral instrument.

Handel’s decision to include not just one or two, but FOUR horns was therefore both bold and highly innovative, creating a striking and distinctive sound for the audience.
