The findings from CREAW’s learning brief shows that strengthening Women’s Rights Organizations leads to measurable and lasting change. WROs improved leadership, management, and sustainability, with the majority adopting strong governance, financial management, and M&E systems. This enabled better policy advocacy, stronger alliances, and increased influence at community and county levels. As a result, service delivery improved particularly in GBV prevention and response, reproductive health, and women’s economic empowerment while women and girls experienced increased participation in decision-making, improved dignity, and reduced vulnerability to GBV and early pregnancies. I had fun reading to some Burke Elementary students at the Chicago Public Library today. When the Obama Presidential Center opens next year, we’ll have a new branch of the library for the community to enjoy.

The internet needs more allies. Women in digital spaces face discrimination, trolling, and cyberstalking. A strong community of young people standing together can shut down online violence. Join the movement.

As technology evolves, so do the risks women face online. Spaces for connection have become hotspots for misogyny, hate, & abuse. We need justice systems that evolve as fast as tech & platforms that prioritize women’s safety over profit. #16Days #NoExcuse
