I think telling single people, especially those in their 30s and up to just focus on themselves and not to worry about when they’re going to get married and have a family makes sense in theory, but dismisses the longing a lot of us have for romantic partnership & a family that we build. My friends & family are amazing. But there is immense loneliness in doing the mundane of everyday life alone, no matter how full it is. I still go home and it’s just me. && we don’t talk about that enough .
