I’ve had a policy since day one of not blocking anyone. That was back when there was genuine debate.
No longer. I’m here to talk EVs with people who are interested in them, not bots, trolls, and halfwits.
And I still don’t follow accounts that talk politics. That won’t change.
I have once again suffered the massive EV road trip inconvenience of charging while having breakfast. Oh no. Oh no.
This @4corners story on connected vehicles so far seems like a ridiculous beat up. It’s embarrassing to watch. Oh no, your car gets software updates via the internet. Oh no, it’s possible to read some data remotely.
It didn’t get much better. The complete conflation of EV and connected vehicle, for one thing. I expect better of @4corners - this wasn’t good.
Sign of the times.

So what will makers of upcoming electric sports cars do? Try to come with a lower number, or accept that there’s only so much usable acceleration and focus on the experience?
Reflecting on my time at Everything Electric yesterday, I realise I feel a bit jaded. Everything felt a bit “same same”.
Maybe it’s because I’ve seen it all before. That has to be it, because I still love cars and I’m still impressed by a great new car.

And also this model which was pretty cool. Despite the concerns on @LudicrousFeed‘s video, the model had not been broken by anyone by Saturday arvo :)

Sat in the more upmarket version of the Leapmotor B05 at Everything Electric today, with the vinyl seats instead of the base model’s wonderful cloth seats.
What a downgrade. So much worse. Cloth remains undefeated.
I sat in the upgraded MG4 (the non-Urban one, so I guess the MG4 Rural?) at Everything Electric, and here’s the thing.
The new interior is much nicer.
But somehow they have significantly reduced the amount of front legroom.
How and why?
As someone who doesn’t ever want an SUV, Everything Electric Sydney didn’t have much for me today that I hadn’t already seen. So not many photos.
However, the MG U9 Ute is very big inside and out and has a tray similar in size to my old Holden Ute. Could sell well.
