One month before Russia invaded Ukraine, I stood trial at the High Court. And now I wait, in purgatory, to be judged.
But I believe this trial and the silence around it - & all the Kremlin's men - has revealed something profoundly rotten at the heart of the British state.

Brexit was a rare Russian victory
My question about Jan 6 is What was supposed to happen? It maybe that Trump intended to stand on the floor of the senate surrounded by armed rioters and personally oversee the counting of his fake electoral votes. This was thwarted by his secret service trying to protect him.
I have just heard Oliver Dowden say that the UK govt has "robust resilience plans" for power shortage this coming winter. My immediate reaction was "Oh Shit". The Tories are a completely useless bunch of tossers, and it can only be a disaster.
Johnson is standing for leader of the Tory party, whilst on holiday in the Caribbean. If this were played upon a stage now, I could condemn it as an improbable fiction. I have ceased to be angry or upset. I am just enjoying the carnage.
I think I have found an actual, tangible, honest-to-God Brexit bonus; Brexit is killing the Tory party.

Wow! Wow! Wow! This is the most incredible @UKLabour video I have ever seen. It completely eviscerates 12 years of conservative Government. And what is so astonishing about it is it’s all done by Conservative MP’s! It should be playing on a loop
It wasn't what you might call a real party. People got drunk and there was a karaoke machine, but only one person threw up and there was only a small fight.
If Clarence Thomas took the draft of the overturning Roe v Wade judgement home and showed it to his wife, and said "it will be toned down before it is issued". I can definitely see her leaking it. Just a thought.
Hull: I am in a safe Labour ward, and I saw no sign of Labour or Lib/Dem. I didn't even get my usual window bill. There was a very young man standing as a Tory who was working alone, and taking a lot of stick cheerfully. The turn-out in my ward, always low, was in the teens.

Sir R. Ford did make me understand how the House of Commons is a beast not to be understood, it being impossible to know beforehand the success of any small thing, there being so many to think and speak to any business, and they of so uncertain minds and interests and passions.
So I just almost replied to a guy but then looked at his other tweets first. There is some serious anti-Semitic anti-Muslim anti-feminist garbage out there and it was nauseating. His question that I was about to reply to was quite innocuous, so think on.
Will all those who left the Labour Party in disgus or despair over the last three years, please rejoin ASAP. We need to stop momentum winning the leadership.
I'm in a strong Labour Leave seat in a low turnout polling district. It is cold and pissing down. It is almost 3pm and I have just voted. The polling clerk said that they have had as many votes cast there already as they normally get in the whole day.

🗣 "It is difficult to know what is the greater scandal– the pitiful plight of four-year-old Jack Williment, sleeping on the floor of LGI with suspected pneumonia due to a shortage of beds, or the arrogance of Boris Johnson and Matt Hancock."
