The UK provides assistance where it is needed most. Last year we provided life saving assistance to at least 5 million Afghans, including 3 million women & girls. This included health, food & nutrition, water & sanitation & livelihood support.

Drone strikes are intensifying the conflict in Sudan and causing devastating harm to civilians.
At @UN_HRC today, the Coalition for Atrocity Prevention and Justice for Sudan called for an end to the illegal flow of weapons and external support fuelling the conflict.
Delighted to speak today to @ACHPR about Sudan and the @_AfricanUnion Fact Finding Mission. We will work together to support accountability and a route to peace in #Sudan.
This week, I was delighted to join colleagues and partners in Geneva to mark the 75th anniversary of the #RefugeeConvention. At a time of record displacement, its principles remain as vital as ever in protecting refugees and upholding their rights.

The @UN_HRC stood united in adopting by consensus a resolution on the human rights situation in and around El Obeid in Sudan.
With El Obeid on the precipice of an atrocity that could deepen the suffering seen in El Fasher, all parties must act now to protect civilians.
