So glad to hear the play had such an impact on you!
You may have missed out on First Light, but you can still hear from the writers themselves on our blog...
One of the most heart-breaking plays in the 2021 @ESTnyc #FirstLightFestival was LAS BORINQUEÑAS by @ndmstrikes about the clinical trials in the 50s in Puerto Rico of the first birth control pill. The playwright reveals more in my interview @SloanPublic bit.ly/EST_FL_NDM

Nonprofit theatres were some of the first to close when COVID hit, and we'll be some of the last businesses to open again.
What does that mean for NYC? That's 120,000 jobs and $8.1 billion of economic activity that will have to stay on pause for 2020 in a city that needs it.
Not to mention the massive impact on theatre adjacent business, restaurants, and hospitality.
Please help our culture and economy get back on track by making a plan for relief and stimulus for non-profits and the arts.
