Every rocket at IREC starts as an unsolved problem. Airframes. Recovery systems. Motors. Deadlines. Students figure it out as a team, under pressure. That’s not just a classroom exercise, it's an engineering career starting in college. esrarocket.org #IREC2026 #ESRA

You hear it before you see it. Then the smoke. Then it's gone. A white streak trades the desert floor for the stratosphere in seconds. 45,000 feet is eight and a half miles straight up. These students built something that can do that. 11 days esrarocket.org #IREC2026
