Today, at the Hegel en perspectiva seminar, we’ll discuss Ruda’s work on Hegel. How can we think reflection and the cut together—the decision, the leap, the interruption? What becomes of reflection once we recognize that it emerges from the cut and is itself constituted by it?

Michael O’Sullivan & friends have been discussing some of my recent work—including my talk for the EGS course Leading Thinkers—on their amazing podcast, @zizekand If you’re curious to hear what they have to say, you can listen to the episode on Spotify open.spotify.com/episode/1OV…

In the afternoon, participants discussed Hegel’s relationship to Marxism, feminism, anti-colonial thought ... I also gave a talk on Hegel’s overcoming of modern freedom, drawing on Menke and Zizek.

This morning, to close the conference, we discussed the actualisation of philosophy, concrete universality, and Adorno’s critique of Hegelian totality. It's been three exciting days!

On the second day of the conference, we discussed colonialism, crises of capitalism, family abolitionism, economic agency, and historicity.

During the first morning of the 6th Hegel en perspectiva Conference, discussions focused on love, mediation, and revolution, tracing these themes from Hegel back to Spinoza and from Hegel forward to Marx. Thanks everyone for coming!

It starts now! Please note that there have been some changes to the schedule.

So happy to have met Slavoj today in Munich. As brilliant and generous in conversation as usual. One of a kind!
