🗣️ Today’s programme began with an introductory session with 3 MEPs @thomaswaitz, @vigenin and Branislav Ondruš, setting the stage for 2 days of debate.
🇦🇱 Last weekend, 50 Albanian citizens came together to discuss Albania and the future of the 🇪🇺 European Union.
After 2 days of discussions, they voted on recommendations to be shared with policymakers.

🇺🇦🇪🇺 Today in Brussels we begin the visit of a delegation of Ukrainian women MPs from @verkhovna_rada to the European Parliament!
The visit is taking place as part of the women’s political leadership programme for Ukraine - the Women Empowerment Programme. For Ukraine, this is the first such women’s political leadership programme with the @Europarl_EN.
Two days of very intensive work lie ahead. Meetings with President of the European Parliament @EP_President, European Commissioner for Enlargement @MartaKosEU, EP Vice-President @EwaKopacz, European parliamentarians and experts.
We came for a women’s programme, but we brought to Brussels issues that are never women’s or men’s - issues of war and peace, security, the future of Europe and of Ukraine in Europe.
Strengthening sanctions against russia and combating their circumvention. Guaranteed long-term support for Ukraine in the next seven-year EU budget. Assistance with air defence. The return of deported and illegally transferred Ukrainian children. Granting Ukrainian MPs observer status in the European Parliament.
And another important meaning of this programme. The European Parliament has begun working with the Verkhovna Rada not only as the parliament of a country that is at war and needs support and solidarity. It is already working with us as the future parliament of an EU member state. This is an important signal for Ukraine.

Today, the EU Election Observation Mission Chief Observer @McNamaraMEP and the @Europarl_EN Head of Delegation @ReinholdLopatka will present the Preliminary Statement on the General elections in Zambia.
