We are so privileged to even have Damascius, given the historical vicissitudes of his era, and he is capable of making strikingly pertinent contributions to contemporary debates, if one can master his highly technical discourse.

The reading of Yorùbá theology in Oluwaseyi's essay is also extremely valuable, providing an excellent example of how Platonic concepts, refined to the degree they are in Damascius, allow the uniqueness of traditions to shine forth, rather than reducing them to the same.
