It's been a busy day in #TeamManchester @GMMH_NHS as the 1st, 3 wards moved into the incredible Northview. What a beautiful building that brings amazing opportunities for those who require access to mental health care. The patients I've spoken with today love the garden space!

My 1st day back @PennineCareNHS following time off for surgery has been wonderful! it's been great to catch up with colleagues. @JaneRoyle5 & the CMHT have been busying moving into their new team space at trust HQ & it was great to hear how well this has gone roll on phase 2 👏🏼

When we recruit people who don’t look & sound like us from different backgrounds & experiences better decisions are made. When we know we need to change, let’s commission people with actual lived experience to lead the work. Same “safe”solutions = no change & dysfunction persists

If we always recruit people who look & sound like us with the same background; if we consistently commission people who are the acceptable face of the existing system because it gives us confidence, we shouldn’t be surprised when no radical change happens & status quo continues.
