I’m going to start a stock photo company that only allows medically accurate images that align with medical advice. No more babies sleeping in cribs with hazards all around, no more giant needles depicting “vaccines”. Who’s with me??
This is AMAZING @RFentonMD - I have to admit I have never approached it quite like this but that changes today.
This is incredibly disappointing. I would invite any one of these officials to visit our hospital, or any other serving these unprecedented numbers of sick and criticallly ill children with not enough beds or staff to care for them. thehill.com/policy/healthcar…
Translation: a nasal swab test could help predict how severe an individual #RSV infection will be. Could be fascinating for guiding admissions, ICU care, etc. #infanthealth #pediatrics #medtwitter frontiersin.org/articles/10.…

Are you ready for #backtoschool? @EMeadeMD walks us through health priorities for each age group to help ease stress for parents and their kids heading into the classroom this fall.

Misinformation about vaccines is not new, but the widespread dissemination of untruths is wholly different now. When we said we were worried about the impact on routine vaccines that have been safely & effectively given for decades, this is what we meant. cbsnews.com/news/polio-virus…
Hey, major medical societies: please start holding your conferences only in states that protect all their citizens, including women and people who are LGBTQIA+. 🧵
In addition to ensuring that the considerable revenue from these conferences goes to states who uphold our shared values, it protects the wellbeing of your members and conference attendees.
This is the time to stand up for your members, your patients, and your communities - and this is one single but important way to do so. @AmerAcadPeds @AmerMedicalAssn @ACPinternists @acog @aafp @EmergencyDocs @AmCollSurgeons @AADskin @SocietyHospMed @APAPsychiatric
What if they want to travel with their family and need to know that if there is an emergency with one of their family members, their same-sex marriage and their parenthood will be recognized?
What if someone attending your conference suffers a ruptured ectopic pregnancy? What if they are sexually assaulted and need access to emergency contraception? What if they take a medication like methotrexate for a chronic condition and need an emergent refill?
This is vile, unethical, and abusive. I am sick for children in Ohio (and everywhere if this is precedent). I cannot even imagine my daughter being subjected to what is outlined here. @AmerAcadPeds @healthychildren @AAPPres @WCAAP @OHPediatricians
We know who will be targeted. Girls of color. Girls who are not neurotypical/hetero/cis. Girls whose parents question schools or elected officials.

Supplies of #baby formula across the country have been drastically curtailed in recent weeks. @EMeadeMD, answers some questions about the shortage and shares advice for parents to help ensure their infants are receiving proper nutrition. swedishnw.org/6010bPCmk
Sharing an upcoming conference on #metabolichealth in Seattle June 9-11 (with an entirely virtual option too!). The intersection between nutrition and health is critical, complex, and deep - there will be some truly world-class folks there discussing! swedish.org/for-health-profe…
PHM folks: working on an EHR build project. What alerts would you like to see for your patients that don’t currently exist in your EHR? These are banners, not pop-ups, and don’t require clicking - intended to be informational, not increase click fatigue. Send any and all ideas!
