What an incredible day at the the Edinburgh Climate Festival! 🌍💚
A huge thank you to everyone who came along, took part, shared ideas, and helped make today such a fantastic celebration of climate action, community and hope for the future.
A special thank you to Edinburgh & Lothians Regional Equality Council (ELREC), who organised the Edinburgh Climate Festival in partnership with Networking Key Services (NKS), for bringing together such an inspiring and inclusive event.
We’re also especially grateful to all of our amazing partners, funders, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, performers, speakers and community organisations who contributed to making this event possible. Your dedication, collaboration and support demonstrated the power of working collectively towards a greener, fairer and more sustainable future.
Together, we have shown that climate action is strongest when communities come together. Here’s to continuing the conversations, building new connections, and turning inspiration into action.
Thank you to everyone who was part of this incredible day! 🌱✨

It was a pleasure to visit @heldinourhearts to learn more about their baby loss support work.
Their hospital-to-home service is inspirational and must be rolled out to all health boards in Scotland.

Today @AngelaRayner and I met members of the Palestinian community in the UK who have lost loved ones in Gaza, alongside Dr Husam Zomlot, Head of the Palestinian mission to the UK.
I am humbled by their immeasurable grief.
This horrific suffering must end, there must be an immediate ceasefire, and Israel must let unrestricted aid into Gaza now.
