Riders of all ages and abilities are invited to a Sunday Session at our North Berwick pump track. The event will take place on Sun, 18 Oct from 10am-4pm with competitions, prizes and a live DJ. Under 18s need parental permission to take part in races with registration on the day.

A reminder that our recycling centre in North Berwick will be closed today (Mon, 12 Oct) and tomorrow (Tues, 13 Oct) due to roadworks being carried out by a utility company. We're advised that normal access should resume from Wed, 14 Oct to allow the facility to reopen as usual.

The renewal of the Riverside Drive Play Park in Haddington has been completed. We’ve added some fun and challenging equipment to the play area to further improve its appeal to a wide range of users. This upgrade offers children and families even more ways to enjoy the space.

Our North Berwick Recycling Centre will be closed on Mon and Tues (12 /13 Oct) due to roadworks by a utility company. The works will prevent vehicles from safely exiting the site onto Heugh Road. We're advised access should resume from Wed, 14 Oct to allow the facility to reopen.

The public toilets at Whitesands Beach in Dunbar have reopened following improvements works. The facilities have undergone repainting and enhancements to the lighting. We appreciated the public’s understanding while this work was completed.

We placed top of the table in a recent UK-wide study of kerbside recycling. Research by Every Can Counts, based on data submitted by more than 50 councils, praised East Lothian for its recycling rejection rate of only 3.95% due to the presence of contaminants such as food waste.

Tree works will be carried out on a section of Longniddry's Dean Road from its junction with King’s Avenue extending 200m north to the golf course edge. The closure will be in place on Tues, 6 Oct and Wed, 7 Oct between 9am and 3.30pm. The road will reopen outwith these hours.

A section of the A1 near Old Craighall will be closed tonight (Fri, 2 Oct) to allow urgent remedial work to be carried out on a bridge. The A1 southbound at Carlehall Bridge will be closed from 9pm until 7am tomorrow (Sat, 3 Oct) with a signposted diversion route in place.
