💔 Adopted twice. Returned twice. Now Yukon hides in the darkness of his kennel. This dog-social, kid-friendly 2-year-old deserves a forever home, not another heartbreak.

Three years. 💔
That’s how long Randy #LA3100 has been waiting for someone to see him and say, “You’re the one.”
Since January 2023, Randy has spent more time in a shelter than in a home. He’s a sensitive Shepherd mix who can be a little fearful when meeting new people, but with the right person and the right environment, we know there is so much more to Randy waiting to shine through.
Randy is looking for a quiet, low-traffic home where he can be the only pet. He’ll need someone who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let him move at his own pace.
And after three years, we’re hoping his wait is finally coming to an end.
Randy doesn’t need a perfect person. He needs his person. Someone who will look past the nervousness, give him a chance, and show him what it feels like to finally have a home of his own. ❤️
Could you be the one Randy has been waiting for?
Come meet Randy at North Shore Animal League America in Port Washington, NY and give this sweet boy the chance he’s been waiting for.

💔 Once home... now waiting again.
Dutchess #IR1490 never imagined she'd be back in a shelter.
Rescued from Antigua in October 2023, this beautiful 3-year-old Ridgeback mix was adopted almost immediately at one of our Mobile Adoption Events and spent nearly three wonderful years with the person she loved most. When unexpected housing circumstances meant her owner could no longer care for her, Dutchess came back to us.
Now, Dutchess is struggling to understand why everything has changed. She's been searching every face, hoping the person she knows and loves will walk back through our doors. 💔
Behind her worried eyes is the same sweet, loving girl her previous owner adored. She's housebroken, crate-trained, loves people, and enjoyed spending time with other dogs (a meet-and-greet is recommended to make sure it's the right fit). She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels safe, her affectionate personality shines.
Dutchess is looking for an experienced home with children over 8 who will respect her gentle nature. She'd thrive in quiet neighborhood where she can feel comfortable and settle back into the home life she's been missing.
She's already proven she knows how to be an incredible companion. Now she just needs someone willing to give her that chance again. ❤️
Visit our Port Washington, NY Adoption Center to meet Dutchess #IR1490 and help write the next chapter of her story.

"Their owner passed away alone in his apartment. Nobody found him for three days. The dogs waited the whole time." When animal control finally arrived, Max and Buddy were sitting by the front door. Not destructive. Not panicked. Just sitting. Waiting. Doing what he had always taught them to do. They came to our shelter with nothing. No records. No vet history. No family contact. Just each other. And one old tennis ball that somebody thought to grab on the way out. That was eleven days ago. Every morning they sit at the kennel door and wait. Every time they hear footsteps they both stand up. Every time those footsteps pass — they go back and lie down together. They don't know he's not coming. They just know he always came back before. Max is 6. Buddy is 5. Both healthy. Both gentle. Both heartbreakingly good dogs. Neither one will do well separated. They have never spent a night apart. They were somebody's whole world. Now they need somebody to be theirs. If you are in the USA and you have room in your home and your heart — please share this until it reaches the right person. They've already waited long enough. Drop a ❤️ for Max and Buddy. And please — SHARE. One share could be everything.

Europeans and American patriots!
Tomorrow, the courts of my country, France, may decide to send me to prison for daring to say on television that “the main danger to women in France is Black African and Arab immigrant men.”
Meanwhile, my own attacker, a Tunisian migrant, is still at large.
I need your help to generate media pressure and hope to be acquitted.
They cannot silence the truth!
Thank you for your support 💪🏻🇫🇷

"You've never heard it till you've heard Eddie Vedder sing it."
Such respectful lines by Tom Petty, then he invites Eddie Vedder to stage.
There you have a beautiful performance of a song called 'The Waiting' live in 2006.
