After a tough game against Linton in the Wabash Valley Classic Semi-Final game Wednesday night, the Edgewood Mustangs returned to the consolation game tonight losing to the Sullivan Golden Arrows by only 2 points. The final score was 55-53.
Sullivan defeated the Mustangs 75-55 during the regular season game. Tonight’s game was an opportunity to avenge the regular season game and regain momentum for the remainder of the season. The boys fell a little short on the victory, but definitely took a positive step forward.
The Mustangs finish the week as 4th-place finishers in a 32 team tournament…one of the oldest holiday tournaments in the state! Joining the Mustangs in the semi-finals were 3 very excellent undefeated teams Congratulations players and coaching staff! #GoMustangs #EdgewoodProud
Congratulations Lady Mustangs! They won 2 games today to wrap up the Toby Yoho Tournament. The first game was a well-fought victory over the Paoli Rams. And they just defeated the host EG Thunderbirds 42-27. It was a great tournament for the ladies! #GoLadyMustangs #EdgewoodProud
The Mustangs traveled to Terre Haute South for the Wabash Valley Classic and came home with a win. They will be playing Linton or Bloomfield in the semi-final game tomorrow night at 8:30. Load up the car and come to support your Mustangs. #GoMustangs #EdgewoodProud
The Lady Mustangs are off to a great start at the Toby Yoho Tournament! They had a 28-9 halftime lead over the Bloomfield Lady Cardinals. Their defense was tenacious! Only 4 of the Cardinal’s 9 points in the first half came from field goals.
The final score was Edgewood 45 and Bloomfield 23. This was a good opportunity for a rematch with the Lady Cardinals after we had a tough overtime victory against them earlier in the season. #GoLadyMustangs #EdgewoodProud
