FC Dallas finishes the regular season 2nd in the West with 58 points, the most since the club’s Supporters’ Shield-winning tally of 60 in 2016. Hats off to Eric Quill, incredible job. Dallas to face Portland Timbers in the first round of the playoffs (best-of-3 series).
A perfect finale 🫡

🇧🇦 U19 & U21 NT squads both released today. Main talking points here are the inclusion of Din Ramić (following the reports in Swiss media that Switzerland are looking to get him to switch to them) after not appearing in a squad since November 2025, as well as Ante Šunjić who is also on HNS's radar and Arif Kovač who was named MLS NEXT Pro POTY recently and is expected to move to Sweden in the winter. Also returns to the U19 setup for Austria-based CBs Adem Mustafić and Amir Hadžimuratović, who also haven't been called since last November. Some other thoughts on the squads: U21: Playing two friendlies against 🇲🇪 Montenegro away on Nov. 13 & 16. Mixed bag here. Very domestic-heavy squad with 14/24 players playing currently in BiH, including both Premijer Liga and Prva Liga FBiH/RS players. Some surprises there but also a few rewarded for good recent form like Hrkač, Glogovac, and Marčetić, as well as an inclusion for Arapović, who's started to get first team minutes with Zrinjski. Interested to see some of the newer players, particularly up front where we struggled in this last cycle, and obviously there are some names missing like Deket, Jurkas, Ramić, etc. who will likely lead the team in the next campaign. But not sure on some of these names included, could have been an opportunity to try some others out instead who could play a bigger role in the 2029 qualifiers although maybe these games were put together on short notice and that affected planning. Let's give them a shot now before judging, but there's enough here to capture interest. U19: Playing Round 2 League B in 🇸🇲 San Marino for the 2027 U19 EURO qualifiers, against the hosts, 🇩🇰 Denmark, and 🇬🇪 Georgia, for a place in the decisive Round 3 League A and a chance to qualify there. First selection for Damir Obad as the coach, 12/20 are domestic here as well. A few Premijer Liga regulars in there with Dimtirić, Dragović, and Savić mixed with promising talents from abroad like Ramić, Vulin, Nišić, and Banjić. Mostly familiar names in this setup and players that have been part of this side over the past 12 or so months, the coaching change is the main one here. Should win the group opener against San Marino and then it'll be the Denmark/Georgia fixtures to determine where this team is at and what phase we'll play in for Round 3 next spring.

Very disappointing loss for Borac in the end. Lots of possession in the 2nd half but no real width or urgency to unsettle Mjällby's defense. And to lose it on this goal.. If 7-8 pts is needed to finish top 24, I'm afraid it's an uphill task for Borac now. Atalanta at home and Hearts away next, almost certainly can't afford 2 defeats there. This was there for the taking for them. Just never felt like they really believed it was, despite being the technically better side for most of the game.

Good half from Borac. Clearly came to put the ball on the floor and play, done well to deal with Mjällby's high press and bypass it. Just lacking that final touch on the moves they're creating. Juričić really should have scored at the end there after some interplay between Deket and Savić. The much-talked-about 🇧🇦 youngsters looking good again. Jurkas had a big reflex save to keep it at 0:0, Deket helped conjure up two of Borac's best chances and always a presence in that attacking third. Showcased his physical strength well in a few 1v1 duels too.
Same lineup for Borac as against KuPS in the last matchday. Marinović deciding to go for it away from home in Europe in what is probably Borac's best chance of getting a result on the road with their schedule. Mjällby is 12th in the Allsvenskan this year, probably will stay up at this point but far from Europe and the team that won the title in Sweden last year. No natural DM and Deket in again working off Juričić up front. Hiroš has done very well in that deeper #8 role as of late, credit to Vinko and his staff for figuring out how to fit Hiroš, Savić, Jojić, and Deket in the same midfield successfully. Interested to see how it goes here today.

The form of our strikers called up this month since the last international break has been very impressive. Jovo Lukić (🇷🇴 U. Cluj) - 🅰️🅰️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ Ermedin Demirović (🇩🇪 Stuttgart) - ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ Haris Tabaković (🇦🇹 Salzburg) - ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ Matej Deket (🇧🇦 Borac) - ⚽️⚽️ Samed Baždar (🇧🇪 Sint Truiden) - ⚽️🅰️ 22 goal contributions between them, including a couple of hat-tricks from Tabaković and Lukić. Would also give a mention to two more strikers in very good form that could be of NT consideration next year: Luka Juričić (🇧🇦 Borac) - ⚽️🅰️🅰️⚽️🅰️⚽️🅰️⚽️ Luka Kulenović (🇭🇺 Györ) - 🅰️⚽️⚽️⚽️ Obviously there's still also the long shot of Dženan Pejčinović; either way, who'd have thought the first month of the post-Džeko era would play out like this? No way to replace him with one player like-for-like, but having multiple forwards in good form and of different ages/profiles could make the transition a little smoother. Certainly something we couldn't have said at any point in the last few years when he was around.

🚨🟠⚫️ Jakirović eyes Croatian or Bosnian reinforcements for Hull! 🇭🇷🇧🇦 Hull’s coach wants to bring in an international from either country, naming Fruk, Pukštaš, Stojković, Radeljić and Galešić as potential candidates. Any move would need agreement within the club, with Jakirović stressing that recruitment is a collective decision. ⏳ Names under consideration — no bids or negotiations confirmed. Who would be the best fit for Hull? 👀

The Balkans are the most impatient in Europe when it comes to giving managers time and riding through periods of poor results, as this list shows. 8/10 clubs in the Premijer Liga BiH have had their manager for 4 months or less, only Vinko Marinović (Borac) and Bojan Regoje (Čelik) have been with their clubs for over a year. Ognjenović lasted exactly 4 months at Sloga before getting sacked. Projects constantly started and thrown away at these clubs, similar to how there's a big turnover of players in 6-12 month cycles. Definitely one of the biggest issues when following this league and/or the overall region.
Feel for him a bit, his Rudar and Sloga teams played decent stuff at times, but the results didn't consistently follow. Losing at home to bottom-of-the-table Velež was the nail in the coffin.
