Scuffles broke out in Jakarta at an Andrea Bocelli concert when Islamic groups (incl Muslim Brotherhood) protested. He's a blind Italian tenor who once performed in Tel Aviv. What offends them badly?
The prospect of losing such a retail icon as DJs is terrible. Spare a thought for the 6,000 employees who face losing their job 6 weeks out from Christmas. This on the back of the 5th interest rate increase this year. It's not going to be a very merry Christmas for many families.
Why would it come as any surprise that DJs has gone into administration. On the rare occasions I go into the city it's albeit deserted. Ppl are working from home in the suburbs so city stores don't have the same footfall they had prior to covid. No footfall, no sales.
The bashing of the ON supporter is unbelievably shocking & abhorrent. There's no place in Australia for this sort of violence. Everyone is entitled to support whichever political party they chose without fear of being bashed senseless. @AlboMP you're the PM, show some leadership.
Nothing says look at me more than dressing like a packet of highlighters.
π Oh, good heavens. We've got lime green, hot pink, sunshine yellow, and orange shoes. All on one person.
This isn't an outfit. It's an entire packet of fluorescent highlighters.
MM dresses like an Easter-egg in November. For autumn, it's an extraordinarily aggressive palette.
But here's what makes this interesting from a fashion perspective: the individual pieces aren't necessarily bad. It's the combination that's overwhelming.
The coat has a rather attractive shape, and the fuchsia dress could work beautifully with more restrained accessories. Even the yellow tote might be interesting with a navy or ivory ensemble.
The problem is that nothing is allowed to be the star. The coat screams, the dress screams, the handbag screams, and then the orange shoes join the chorus.
And those enormous black sunglasses add yet another strong visual element.
I can already see the makeover possibilities. I'd keep the silhouette but give her a sophisticated autumn paletteβperhaps a deep forest-green coat, an ivory or burgundy dress, and beautiful cognac accessories.
Although I have to admit, the orange shoes with the yellow handbag are what really sent me over the edge. π³

BREAKING: A major civil war has erupted inside the Albanese Government, with a leadership spill officially brewing within the Labor Party.
In a stunning and unprecedented move, Treasurer Jim Chalmers has gone into survival mode, publicly pointing the finger directly at his boss, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, as the primary reason Laborβs popularity has completely plummeted.
Make no mistake, the lines have been drawn, the factions are fracturing, and a leadership spill is coming.
Here is exactly how the civil war is playing out:
Jim Chalmers openly name checked Anthony Albanese and other senior ministers, declaring that everyone is responsible for their own βparts of the shopβ
Translation?
He is refusing to take the sole fall for Laborβs catastrophic economic failures and tanking poll numbers.
In what is being viewed as direct code for internal warfare, Chalmersβ comments firmly dump the blame for Labor's cascading crises onto his colleagues:
He ripped into Finance Minister Katy Gallagher for the ballooning public service.
Had a dig at Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke for national security and immigration failures.
Blamed Foreign Minister Penny Wong for diplomatic blunders.
And then stunningly, Anthony Albanese for the absolute disaster of the lot.
With yet another interest rate hike tipped for Melbourne Cup Day, Chalmers is desperately trying to shield himself from the impending fallout of a faltering economy and soaring inflation.
And typically, as the domestic front burns, Albanese is preparing to jet off to Antigua and Barbuda, leaving behind an increasingly toxic, agitated cabinet and a deputy chair relationship that is completely fractured.
The defensive posture from Chalmers proves he knows the ship is sinking.
The blame game has begun, trust is entirely gone, and a challenge for the lodge is now inevitable.
Last night saw the 4 Corners story on childcare facilities. I found Min. Jess Walsh's responses to questions alarming so I checked her background. She worked for a union advocating for childcare workers. Is she more focused on the workers than kids & on unionising the sector?
It's every agency head & their staff's job to serve the Austn public w/o political bias. Their job is to appear at Senate Estimates & truthfully, frankly & without fear or favour answer every question put to them. Trickery to protect themselves & their political masters is not on
It just keeps getting worse and worse. Thank you @SenatorCash. πππ
Australian Human Rights Commission president Hugh de Kretser admitted his agency had spent taxpayer money on a session with a communications consultant preparing for their appearance at Senate estimates. Read the full story: bit.ly/4zb29gC
