As Secretary-General of the @eu_eeas, my role is to support HR/VP @kajakallas and turn EU priorities into action. The EEAS must be part of the solution to make sure that EU foreign policy delivers better results.

Ukraine wants peace. We want peace. Russia must stop its aggression, accept a ceasefire, and engage meaningfully in negotiations towards a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in accordance with international law. ↓
51 countries are united today in our support for Ukraine at the UN General Assembly.
Since March 2025, Ukraine has agreed to a full, immediate and unconditional ceasefire. We call on Russia to finally do the same.

The UN High-Level Week is about to kick off in New York.
For over 80 years, the UN has been the world’s common ground, bringing countries together to tackle global challenges.
The EU is proud to be its biggest backer.
Together with @vonderleyen and @eucopresident, we met with UN Secretary-General @antonioguterres to discuss how to strengthen cooperation in a world that needs more dialogue and trust than ever.
I am in New York for the 81st #UNGA. Glad to be part of @kajakallas' delegation with a busy week ahead of high-level meetings and discussions. Great thanks to @EUatUN for all the preparatory work done!
