New article in Learning Disabilities Research and Practice! TLDR? Brief addition and subtraction practice embedded in word-problem tutoring improved both fact and computation scores at posttest with some effects persisting at follow up. @SyedaSharji onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…

ALT Visual abstract for article titled "The Effects of Addition and Subtraction Practice Within a Word-Problem Intervention." On the left, the message is that brief fact practice led to improved math fact scores. In the middle, the message is that brief computation practice led to improved computation scores. On the right, the message is that at follow-up in Grade 4, effects maintained on double-digit addition. Brief addition and subtraction practice should be a part of any math intervention.
