Trojans - the 2026 IHSA football playoff pairings will be announced this Saturday night. The Trojans are in the playoffs, and you should get your gear ordered. The store will close on Sunday.

The longer I have coached the more I have grown to realize that this is what it is really all about. And not just in football. Family. Friends. Job. Community. It all only has meaning if there is love. Agape. This scene may be as near perfect an expression of that as there is.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS turns 22 today.
Billy Bob Thornton improvised much of Coach Gaines’ famous halftime speech after asking Peter Berg if he could go off-script. He drew from something that had happened to him the night before.
One version of what winning as a coach and program looks like: A player emailed me to let me know he got a bad grade on a quiz. He then explained how he was going to fix the issues and that he was going to see the teacher.

Still waiting for a response from @LemmingReport about post that said "would not recommend Providence Catholic to any football recruit." I got no response. My question for is this - do you make it part of your business to suggest high schools for players to attend/transfer to?
