‼️ guys, we want to bring your attention to a situation.
a story about namjoon is currently circulating on twitter, and judging by the evidence that has come to light, it appears to be untrue. on top of that, the person who shared the story also made a racist gesture.
during an interview, a man claimed that he had asked namjoon to take a picture of him at the fifa world cup final, without having any idea who he was. according to the man, people around them were laughing at the situation, and he only found out later that the person who had taken his picture was “the leader of bts.”
however, armys started looking into the story and noticed several inconsistencies.
1) footage from the event shows that the members were seated in a completely different section of the stands throughout the event. moreover, the timeline of events described by the man does not match other videos from that day.
2) while telling the story, he made a comment about the shape of asian people’s eyes and accompanied it with a gesture that is rightfully recognized as racist.
why make up stories like this just for attention in the first place? what does anyone gain from it? especially when it involves a real person who is also being mocked because of his race.
