Food waste is a #climatechange issue. Climate change is a human issue. Predictably, regions that are less affected are often the biggest contributors to it. Fighting food waste will help minimise the humanitarian impact of #climatechange. RT + share for #WorldHumanitarianDay

Everyone loved my question to YG candidates, now it's your turn: When is a time you've changed your mind on an issue? And what caused it? Over 280 char. welcome @tinalouiseUK @yorksgreenmarti @Amelia_Womack @tamsinomond @carla_denyer @AdrianRamsay @ShahrarAli @AshleyGunstock
In 2018 I declared a climate emergency. But we can’t rely on the actions of individual cities alone—we must act globally. #COP26 is a critical moment for the UK to exercise real influence on the world stage, and secure a landmark global agreement to avert a climate catastrophe.

According to the new IPCC report, the carbon budget that gives us the best odds of staying below 1,5°C runs out in less than 5 and a half years at our current emissions rate. Maybe someone should ask the people in power how they plan to “solve” that?

We're proud of the lifesaving work our volunteers do in the Channel – we make no apology for it. Those we rescue are vulnerable people in danger & distress. Each of them is someone’s father, mother, son or daughter - every life is precious. This is why we launch:

This adds another layer of complexity to my mask decision. Yes it might be socially responsible to wear a mask in a a crowded space. But on the other hand what if the person next to me is Right Said Fred and he was about to ask me to work with him, but then doesn’t?
I would like to thank everyone who is still wearing a mask. It saves me a great deal of time. Your mask tells me I don’t need to talk to you, know you, work with you, or try to understand your mumblings. You are superfluous to requirements. Many thanks XX

It’s broken isn’t it ? We’ve broken what we do with food . Pears grow in the U.K. They could grow in our gardens . We could walk out and pick them , wipe them and eat them . No chemicals , no processing , no plastic , no planes , no sell by dates . Just fresh fruit . God help us
