In 1988-89 Doug Collins moved him to the point and he put up 10 triple doubles in 11 games. That's the same season he hit the shot over Craig Ehlo to knock out Cleveland. The experiment didn't outlast Collins, but it's why his 5.3 career assists never looked small to me.
