ripple:native on @FlareNetworks now backs @Firelightfi cover for vaults on Stellar, Ethereum and Kraken’s Ink.
XRP Ledger is being used as a new rail inside Cross River Bank's COS for settlement.
RLUSD opens the doors for the network integration and the ledger takes care of the rest.
The XRPL accelerates at this type of use cases, fast efficient settlement. Leveraging its native protocol features out of the box like tokenization (RLUSD) and payments.
Using the XRPL is the true unlock for XRP as a knock-on effect by providing liquidity on the DEX via autobridging (bridge asset) , reserves/fees, trustlines and accounts.
Purpose built settlement machine.
🪙 We’re excited to announce that we’re partnering with @Ripple to expand our stablecoin optionality and integrate RLUSD into our banking core infrastructure, with support for transactions on the XRP Ledger.
Together, we’re combining traditional payment technology with RLUSD on the XRPL, giving issuers and acquirers greater flexibility to settle intraday and reduce settlement latency. By bringing stablecoins’ programmability and near-instant settlement into the same environment as traditional rails, we’re creating a unified payments experience where businesses can leverage the strengths of both.
We’re proud to enable faster payment capabilities and give our partners greater choice and flexibility.

Firelight cover is now live on @krakenfx Protected Strategies USDC, on Kraken DeFi Earn curated by @SentoraHQ.
The vault allocates to a specific set of blue-chip DeFi venues such as @TydroHQ.

The most innovative DeFi Earn program in the market just launched another innovation.
@krakenfx is introducing @Firelightfi onchain cover for the Kraken Protected Strategies USDC vault (formerly Boosted USDC), curated by @SentoraHQ: firelight.finance/articles/f…
The vault ( vaults.sentora.com/vault/ink…) has approximately $49.49 million in TVL, representing meaningful capital already deployed into DeFi strategies.
And this is happening at an entirely different scale than most DeFi experiments.
Kraken's broader DeFi Earn program has already crossed $902 million in TVL and 100,000 unique depositors, combining Sentora's strategies with Veda's infrastructure to bring onchain yields to BTC and USDC holders.
To our knowledge, this is the first onchain cover integration into a major exchange Earn program.
Kraken deserves tremendous credit for pioneering this. Making DeFi accessible to mainstream users is one achievement. Making institutional-grade protection part of the experience is another.
Think about this like engineering a production system.
Testing reduces the probability of failure. Recovery mechanisms address what happens after failure. Nobody would argue that good tests eliminate the need for recovery.
Financial infrastructure should follow the same logic.
Audits and risk management remain essential. But cover adds a different primitive: capital explicitly committed to absorbing defined failures.
For Kraken Protected Strategies USDC, Firelight introduces three important capabilities:
Adaptive protection: Coverage scope, price, and capacity are registered onchain and recalibrated every 30 days against the vault's composition and risk profile.
Explicit coverage: Protection against six defined failure modes, including smart contract exploits, oracle failures, governance attacks, mechanism-driven bad debt and depegs, and protocol-related redemption failures.
Continuous risk monitoring: Sentora's institutional risk infrastructure and Hypernative monitor the underlying exposures in real time.
The architecture is particularly interesting.
Firelight uses a shared pool of staked capital to back its protection programs. Stakers receive protocol emissions but accept potential slashing when covered events occur.
When incidents happen, independent security specialists and Firelight's five-firm Risk Consortium validate the event against predefined coverage criteria. Confirmed claims result in programmatic onchain payouts to the applicable vault.
Notice the combination: committed capital + continuous risk intelligence + independent validation + programmable settlement.
This is not simply insurance attached to a yield product. It is an attempt to make protection a native component of DeFi infrastructure.
The Kraken launch also represents our third insured vault, following Sentora's USD Protected Vault and Protected RWA Vaults.
The mission of @Firelightfi is straightforward but ambitious: build the missing protection layer for onchain finance.
For years, DeFi has focused on optimizing yield, liquidity, composability, and capital efficiency. Protection has remained fragmented, optional, and largely disconnected from the underlying financial products.
That architecture needs to change.
As DeFi evolves from an ecosystem of protocols into infrastructure powering exchanges, fintechs, and eventually autonomous financial agents, protection must evolve from something users purchase separately into something applications can integrate natively.
Kraken is taking an important step in that direction.
The next generation of DeFi won't just optimize how capital earns yield. It will fundamentally rethink how that capital is protected.

Broadening access to XRPL, from everyday payments to agentic commerce.
We’re partnering with @privy_io, a Stripe company, to bring embedded wallets to the XRP Ledger. Developers will be able to build payment experiences with XRP, RLUSD and other digital assets on XRPL directly into their products, without requiring users to manage their own keys.
The integration will also enable agentic commerce through programmable wallets that let AI agents hold funds and transact, including through x402 payments.
Built for payments, XRPL is already powering the next wave of commerce. To date, it has processed 13M agent payments, which now account for roughly 25% of network activity.
1/ We're partnering with @Ripple to bring Privy wallets to the XRP Ledger (XRPL).
This makes it easier for developers to build stablecoin payments, fintech applications, and agentic commerce on XRPL.

⚡️ How Flare usage feeds back into FIRE and FLR
There are two separate paths.
The first one is simple: every transaction fee paid in FLR is burned. That was already part of Flare, but after FIP.16 the base fee is higher, so real network activity now burns more much more FLR than before.
The second path is FIRE.
FIRE is the protocol revenue pool created by FIP.16. Its main job is to reduce FLR supply as much as possible, either directly through FLR buyback and burn, or indirectly by supporting validator and staker rewards so FLR inflation decreases.
Right now, the tracked streams going into FIRE are:
90% of FDC attestation request fees, paid in FLR.
100% of FXRP destination-tag registration fees, paid in FLR.
100% of FAssets direct minting fees, paid in FXRP.
10% of FAssets redemption fees, paid in FXRP.
The remaining 10% of FDC fees still goes through the existing reward path, and the rest of the FAssets redemption fee stays with the agent and collateral pool.
So the basic idea is:
More transactions burn more FLR, more protocol usage sends more fees to FIRE, and FIRE is designed to push that value back into FLR economics.

A useful read of the data in our analytics section: $59.9M of capital backs $38M of coverage.
As coverage grows relative to capital, stakers receive more emissions per FXRP staked.

A milestone for XRP Finance: stXRP now has a live rate, reflected on Spectra markets @FlareNetworks.
On Spectra, that rate can be fixed, traded and priced in a market built around it. Emissions from @Firelightfi have just started and the rate is building up.
