My backstory for anyone interested - when I started supporting more density so more inner city neighbourhoods would be buzzy and interesting like Kings Cross - a detached house in middle Sydney was $350k.

Im an urbanist (aka yimby) but it has to be part of a coordinated approach of supply AND demand measures to result in housing affordability. I became interested in urbanism because I wanted lively neighbourhoods, not because I thought density alone would sufficiently reduce cost
The cynic in me says noone politically connected must live in Elan or Kingsgate/Zenith Residences (the towers behind) a la Highgate and its impact or Barangaroo or One Darling Harbour and its impact on Harbourside.....

Do you somehow know more than the chief economist at the RBA? I’d like to hear your logic if so. Because there’s unlikely any person in the country that’s more qualified to talk on the matter than her
People love to use Scandinavian countries as beacons of high quality of life without digging deeper. Denmark is how you left wing. Strong borders, strong social democracy. Be like Denmark.
Why do I find progressives chuck a hissy fit and block you if you challenge their views? Undemocratic? Intolerant? Childish? And these are people I know...
Like at least "conservatives" or the politically disengaged can have a bit of a debate and agree to disagree and move on.
