Been saying this kind of thing about the Rust Belt for awhile. When Hobbit and I got married in Corning (the small city famous for GorillaGlass and global fiber optic production), every one of our venues from the Parish to the baker to the florist referred to us as "THE wedding" in a city of 10,000. People we spoke to were so unusually happy about it, and I think the rarity of lovey dovey Catholics in their 20s getting married was adding onto the already joyous occasion.
South Koreans getting pregnant is almost as big a deal as Pandas breeding in captivity

Calling this sexism is the weirdest possible interpretation. In most places and cultures across time, teens often took on responsibilities that adults would. In the vast majority of cultures boys we in modernity classify as minors were often treated as men. Generally from the moment they could competently participate in the same duties as men. Sokka at the start of the series is in charge of the defense of The Southern Water Tribe. The women you see there have a responsibility to the children. All of the grown men of fighting age (according to their culture) left to participate in the war. If you have any basic concept of the human condition, you’ll quickly realize that the families of those men don’t just stop existing while they’re an ocean away. They didn’t seem to have the luxury of leaving much in the way of defense for their home and Sokka (this was a clear plot point) was not of fighting age when his father and the rest of the men joined the war. He came of age some time after. So as a young man of his tribe and son of the chief, the safety of the children and wives of his fellow men became his responsibility as the only man left. This isn’t sexism. This is a depiction of the human condition distilled down into a children’s story. It is tradition, born of necessity, which has seen human populations survive even the harshest conditions and most unfortunate of circumstances for most of our existence. Looking at it as mere “sexism” is a luxury afforded to we in the West whose women and children are wrapped in layer upon layer of highly advanced statecraft, weaponry, and technology.
There are people in 2026 who think this is a well handled exploration of gender norms, forgetting that Sokka watched grown women stand behind, while him, a literal child, defended them from invaders. He could have actually died here defending adults.

Because the rot is enforced harshly from the top down. Either from parents or from schools and colleges. My autistic brain did not let these people try and tell me that 2+2=5, or that a man could become a woman, etc. I called bull every time, and I was made to suffer every time. But hey, I made that choice.

Just tried watching Modern Family - written by a moron, really boring. Writer has the mind of a very dumb and backward child. Sorry Danny!

If I was a priest and the last thing I did was celebrate Mass, I’d say that was a pretty good way to go. Be respectful. (I’m not reposting the video on purpose).

Someone, somewhere, maybe in that very church, is going to turn their life around. Even in tragedy, God is at work. May the soul of the departed Priest rest in peace.
"Un día, todos los que estamos aquí también vamos a morir". Un escalofrío recorre a los creyentes al recordar las últimas palabras del padre Patricio Sánchez. Minutos después de pronunciarlas en plena misa en Guayaquil, una pesada cruz se desprendió del altar y le arrebató la vida frente a sus propios feligreses.

Hobbit: "Thank you for treating me so well." Me: "My pleasure. Thank you for making it so easy."
I speak for every man when I say that if we had that woman on the left as our wife, we would feel like Alexander the Great in the world. Pure conquest mode no matter what we work in. Every man will eye the one on the left and approach her. Modern women don’t understand how powerful feminine energy is to men, and they think acting like men will make us like them. We aren’t gay, and the one on the right is just your average TikTok-addicted chick that's a part time feminist who will make your life a living hell. This is one thing I envy the boomers for. There is a reason why our grandmothers & mothers were fantastic women. They truly had the most modest women around.

I KNEW IT. The producers at Disney realized how great Gaston was and had to keep re-writing the script over and over in an effort to make him more disgusting, and even then they couldn't make his heart worse than the Beast's.
the gaston we got was awesome but oh my god. do i wish we got this version

Americans (I hate maga but I still works) did more to seize destiny in a way that scared the elites than France has done in 50 years.

Your Republic, or at least the first, unstable iteration of it, was founded on violence À bas la république satanique !

Being a married man helped me discover the inner child that I hid for so long. We see many negative expressions of that online, but I realize now that (barring some kind of trauma or amnesia), our psyche has many layers that grow on top of each other as you age. The child you were never dissappeared, and much of your personality is already set in stone by the time you reach 5th grade. All the things adults whine about and celebrate over (and the ways they do it) are almost identical to when they were kids, and for the same reasons. I love being a man and doing cool macho things, and yet that inner child has a place right next to it.

> regardless of her circumstances Men took care of women because women were willing to place themselves fully beneath men. Christ takes care of men who place themselves fully beneath Him, and as His children, we emulate him. If you want the princess treatment, do your part in acting like one.

And for the record, this had to be BEAT OUT of men. "Equal rights" and all that. Not to mention men are mostly feminist now and actually believe women to be equal, so the fear of being accused and having your life ruined is ever present.
