After considerable prayer and meditation, I’ve changed my stance on unfollowing anyone who celebrates the murder of others. Instead, please befriend and follow me. I love you, and I don’t want to lose you to that hatred. Please let me show you there’s a better way.
I challenge you all, with every fiber of my being and every piece of my heart: please love one another. Whoever you are. Wherever you are. Whatever you believe. Whether you love me, like me, hate me, or are indifferent—I love you. No matter what.
Fair warning: if I see, or even get a whiff of, anyone celebrating or smugly justifying Charlie Kirk's murder, you will be immediately unfriended and blocked on all of my socials, and we will have to reevaluate the nature of our relationship. I try to stay out of political and culture war fighting. I just want to love people on both ends of the ideological spectrum, but I will not associate with anyone who revels in the murder of another human being. I don’t want to do this, so please don’t make me. I implore you to reconsider your perception of the value of life—even if the person whose life it is happens to be someone you hate. All human life is precious: every color, every nation, every gender. Celebrating murder is not love winning.
Apparently, they were all just practicing their technique for the somatic component of burning hands.
If you ever wonder why WotC doesn't design products to fit your generational sensibilities. According to a 2023 player survey:
- 60% of D&D players are male
- 39% are female
- 1% identify otherwise
- 19% are GenX
- 48% are Millennials
- 33% are GenZ
OMG.... Memory: UNLOCK
I remember having every single one of these.

Sigh… the eternal #DnD Edition Wars. The best edition is the one that works the best for you and your table. Hate one? Cool—keep playing your favorite. Others love what you hate? So what. Play yours, be happy, and stop letting what makes others happy live rent-free in your head.
Dungeons should feel threatening and invoke a healthy dose of fear when players send their characters into them. There should be no guarantee of survival. In the immortal words of The Eagles: “You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.”
Dungeons should feel dangerous—places that inspire a healthy dose of fear when players send their characters inside. Survival should never be guaranteed. In the immortal words of The Eagles: “You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.”

"Look at me! I'm a scary monster! Rawr! Sorry, adventurers, but your loot is in another dungeon. Whaaaaa!"
This hit me so much harder than I expected. Hulk Hogan was a freaking "real"-life superhero to GenX boys.
We take our heroes for granted—even the imperfect ones. For kids like me, who had a dumpster fire for a dad, he was a surrogate. Larger than life. Always there.
I am so sad.
