🚨🇨🇺There are no words to describe how much pride comes with being Cuban right now! In the midst of a full oil blockade from the U.S., a sea of Cubans show up to one of the biggest public Marches in the year.

– at Cayman Islands

On the 158th anniversary of the Cry of Yara—the uprising that marked the beginning of the revolution in Cuba and opened the path toward definitive independence—we remember that rebelliousness, dignity, and love of country are the living heritage of a people that never surrenders.

❤️Another example of solidarity and friendship with Cuba. Turning on Lights for Life Solar Energy Reaches Cuban Maternity Homes. MEDICC, a public health nonprofit, has ensured round-the-clock electricity from new solar panels/batteries for seven maternity homes in Havana.

The Roosevelt Corollary: In his 1904 message to Congress, he unilaterally declared that the U.S. had the right to exercise an "international police power" in the Western Hemisphere. In the foreign interventions that followed, Teddy openly admitted his actions had no explicit legal grounding. He deliberately sidestepped Congressional approval for those interventions, seeing the Senate as a roadblock. He said he "should not dream of asking the permission of Congress" to send troops to Cuba, preferring instead to set a precedent for unilateral executive action. Today, we ought to be asking ourselves: What gives the U.S. government the right to act as an "international police power"? What are the legal grounds—under international law—that justify its actions? The world today has nothing to do with 1901, 1945, or 1991. But it's starting to look a whole lot like 1901! It would be really naive to think the U.S. threats to invade Cuba are just psyops or tough talk. Cuba is not a threat—but it will defend itself if it has to.

❤️In any other country in the world, this wouldn't even be newsworthy. In Cuba, it's a testament to Cubans' ingenuity and resistance, facing a fuel blockade imposed by a handful of politicians in Washington, D.C. The fact that the elderly will not have to go up 22 floors to get home is a direct result of how the Cuban people will always fight back against any aggression coming from the U.S.

🚨At the Colón Cemetery, Cuba is paying tribute to the victims of the crime of 10/06/1976. Some of the young people carriyng the photos of the victims are their direct descendants. 50 years after this horrendous crime, Cuba and its children still have the fresh memory of terrorism.

50 years ago today, anti-Cuban terrorists bombed Cubana Flight 455, killing all 73 on board. The CIA was at least aware of, and possibly involved in, the plot. Never forget the victims of the bombing, and all victims of US-backed attacks on Cuba — including the blockade.

🖤 50 years have passed since the bombing of Cubana flight 455. "We cannot say that the pain is shared. The pain multiplies. Millions of Cubans mourn today together with the loved ones of the victims of the abominable crime. And when an energetic and virile people cries, injustice trembles.” Never forget the crime of Barbados!

In an interview on Monday, Lianys Torres Rivera, chargé d’affaires at the embassy in Washington, said Cuba remains open to a “respectful” dialogue but is “not naive” about President Donald Trump’s threats and has increased preparations to defend itself against any US military action.

There is something that the oppressors of the #Cuban people never possess: some, shame, because the assets they claim were stolen from the people; others, courage to demand from the true culprit that the owners of nationalized assets have not been compensated: the US government

On October 6th, 1976, the Cuban airplane Cubana flight 455 was bombed by a group of terrorists. This happened 50 years ago. Its culprits never faced justice and lived in Miami until the passing. 👉A declassified U.S. State Department memorandum from June 22, 1976 (months before the attack) warned that Cuban exile extremists, including Orlando Bosch, were planning to bomb a Cubana Airlines plane. The document noted that the CIA, FBI, and U.S. Navy were notified but failed to take preventive action. CIA Connections: The CIA had long-standing relationships with the perpetrators. Posada Carriles and Bosch were known to have been trained, funded, and protected by the agency. A 2015 declassification revealed that Secretary of State Henry Kissinger had expressed concern about the CIA's links to these extremist groups. 50 years later, the victims of Cubana 455 are still remembered.

This is Cuba, these are its people. It doesn´t matter how much the U.S. does to try to bring down our country. Cuba´s asset is its people. Our country does not have surrender in its vocabulary.
