Sending my Dutch Type reprint to North America has become very expensive. Fortunately, Oak Knoll Books has a supply, now selling it at a very reasonable price. Today and tomorrow! oakknoll.com/pages/books/135…

Ten years ago today, Dutch lettering artist and designer Boudewijn Ietswaart passed away. His daughter Anna and I have chosen this day to present the Ietswaart Project – a book featuring his amazing cover designs and sketches. Read more, sign up: drukeditions.com/ietswaart-p…

I am rereading this! Written by novelist Hunter Davies, it is probably the most relaxed and frankest Beatles book ever; it’s the only authorized Beatles biography. Published in 1968, I’m pretty sure I bought this hardcover 1st ed. 2 years later, at 14. Design by Alan Aldridge.

Some work can/should just go on. As a prelude to the jubilee Eye #100 – my piece on dynamic, perfectionist São Paulo designer Tereza Bettinardi. I love her lively yet meticulous work. eyemagazine.com/blog/post/cu…

Finally photographed this Art Deco (-style) poster I once bought on a market in Belgium. Size is c. 110 × 70cm; MARCI printing office calls itself/its product Litho. July 6 is on a Monday, it says. Could that be 1925? Or is it more recent? No date on poster stamps – paid: 55 cent
