TRUMP IS NEGOTIATING WITH RUSSIA, AND ZELENSKY IS LOSING HIS SEAT AT THE TABLE
Trump is now making his position clear: he wants a peace deal with Russia, and he will not impose measures that could push Moscow away from negotiations.
He points out Zelensky’s attacks on Russian diesel refineries are raising global fuel costs and prolonging the war. So Trump has paused new sanctions and reopened a path for Russian diesel to reach world markets.
The White House calls that leverage. Russia gets market access if it reduces the fighting, accepts an energy ceasefire, or comes to the table.
But Kyiv sees it differently. Ukraine faces Patriot shortages, Starlink restrictions, and weaker defenses. Russia, meanwhile, is being offered sanctions relief.
Zelensky says Ukraine is ready to negotiate anywhere, in any format. Yet after accusing Trump of admiring autocrats and calling him a “killer,” he has made an already damaged relationship harder to repair.
The deal now taking shape includes Russian diesel sales, potential gas exports to Europe, pipeline talks, frozen Russian assets, and possible relief for the “shadow fleet.”
Europe has pushed back on parts of the plan. Washington appears determined to continue anyway.
JD Vance has described Putin as calm, deliberate, and focused on Russia’s interests. A potential Trump-Putin-Xi meeting could discuss Ukraine’s future, with Zelensky outside the room.
Europe says it stands with Ukraine while still buying Russian energy. Zelensky is asking for more money and weapons, but the mood is shifting.
Even MAGA is split. Laura Loomer warns Putin will not stop at Ukraine. Others, including DC Draino, Mike Cernovich, Ian Miles Cheong, and Catturd, argue peace will not come until Zelensky leaves.
Washington is talking to Moscow. Kyiv is trying to stay in the conversation. The question remains whether Trump has already decided to move the deal forward without Zelensky.

🚨 Google lost power in London this morning and Revolut, a bank with 80 million customers, went down with it.
I've spent the morning reading what Revolut users went through. It's wild.
People stranded at petrol stations, unable to pay for fuel or a taxi to the airport.
One traveller couldn't get out of a train station in Japan.
A 71-year-old woman stood at a supermarket till for an hour. Her kid had to drive 30km to bring her cash.
Card payments, transfers, ATM withdrawals, currency exchange, share trading. All down.
Revolut's statement said "all our customers' money and data are safe."
Safe. You just can't touch it.
Google's explanation so far is a "power event" in one zone of its London cloud region. Its advice to affected customers was to move their workloads to another zone or region "if feasible."
Must be nice. Revolut customers couldn't even move £10.
In July the UK government put Google Cloud, AWS, Microsoft and Oracle under direct Bank of England oversight, because one outage at any of them could shake the entire financial system.
12 days ago the Bank of England ran a drill with the UK's 38 biggest banks and market operators. The scenario they practised was a global cloud outage.
And exactly one year ago today, AWS went down and took Lloyds and Halifax with it.
Same date. Different cloud. Lloyds was having problems again this morning.
Revolut spent five years earning a UK banking licence.
Bitcoin has been running for almost 18 years. It doesn't have a London region.
