This is the equivalent of botting 700 comments to a post and claiming you one shotted their argument. no you just generated 700 comments, which may turn true or false but you have not advanced the argument one bit.

If Your Flight Attendant is Posh Your Country is Poor Manu Joseph I GET a spam call from a girl who asks which bank has issued my credit card, and I say, “Sperm Bank.” She asks if it is a foreign bank, then for the spelling. Listening to her, I am delighted at the progress the nation has made. I am not being sarcastic, partly because sarcasm is the second lowest form of humour, but chiefly because her response is a good omen. substack.com/home/post/p-212…

Amongst my friends, Spotify is the lowest quality consumer app we still pay for. It certainly hasnt gotten noticeably better in the last couple years (arguably worse). So, this is not the positive look Ant and Spotify are spinning here. Bigger picture, this is the problem with a lot of AI reporting. It reports completely meaningless metrics like deploys per day or LoC. Why don’t we start reporting consumer satisfaction reports? Actually end state research results. All the no nuance AI people always come out and think that this is anti AI. Again, I think AI is great and Claude is great. But this is bad marketing and makes both look like clowns.
Boris sat down with Spotify VP of Engineering Niklas Gustavsson. Spotify ships 4,500 production deploys a day, and 73% of PRs are now AI-assisted.

What would be worse is AI doing this with a million other lines and having to review all this in a PR.
"AI code is crap." The shit your human engineers get up to:

Software engineers shouldn't fear being replaced by AI. They should fear being asked to maintain the sprawling mess of AI-generated legacy code their employer's systems will soon run on. Because that one will actually happen.

This is definitely a good idea. A narvodiya Vidyalaya attached to uni specializing in math. This could give great boost to future research
One of the very interesting innovations in the UK education system is the high-schools specializing in the study of mathematics. These are called "Maths schools", have selective admissions, are sponsored by a nearby university and receive additions grants from the government. @kingsmathschool was the first one started in 2014 and the models seems to be working well enough that a few years later, more like @ExeterMathsSc @CamMathsSchool @LivMathsSchool @LUSoM_ have come up. It seems to be the need of the hour for India as well.

Current LLMs are trained on text data that would take 20,000 years for a human to read. And still, they haven't learned that if A is the same as B, then B is the same as A. Humans get a lot smarter than that with comparatively little training data. Even corvids, parrots, dogs, and octopuses get smarter than that very, very quickly, with only 2 billion neurons and a few trillion "parameters."
Animals and humans get very smart very quickly with vastly smaller amounts of training data. My money is on new architectures that would learn as efficiently as animals and humans. Using more data (synthetic or not) is a temporary stopgap made necessary by the limitations of our current approaches.

Yes, fundamentally I think people work for ego. Money just seems give them a clear sense of boost.

If not money then it is often for the ego. So is working for ego better or money better?

I am not sure if this is accidental or fraud @IndiGo6E but you have an internal domain exposed for search on google. If anything you should at least make this non crawable. aem-prod-skyplus6e.goindigo.…

I was reminded of some things I saw very early in my career. My first piece of professional work was helping adapt a spell checker aspell to Punjabi. Aspell worked very well for indic languages 1\n

At that time, I had a vague idea that Punjabi was written differently as "Shahmukhi" in West Punjab, And I wondered how people there would write if this is the Punjabi Unicode character set. 3/n

Turns out the Shahmukhi character set was still in the works when I was working on the above project. On a similar note, the initial domain for Punjabi wikipedia also was simply for a Gurmukhi-based wiki with subdomain of pb,which I remember was changed to pb_IN and pb_PK. 4/n

I just thought socio-political ideas also have an engineering impact. Why I suddenly remembered about this, though, I don't know, or do I.

Question to experienced ML engineers, what docker images do you guys use for setting up your containers for training on GPUs

There is so much wrong in the interpretation of the data in these charts as well. For example: while heart disease may be the number 1 killer. If you don't interpolate for example age you cannot determine the relative importance. A person at 85 is going to die. Not news.
What is ignored by the media -- but will be studied by historians? 8 more examples:

Similarly Aramco is government owned monopoly does it make sense to compare it to privately owned corporations.
