The NRMP has called for public comment on a proposal to scrap the SOAP, replacing it with a two-stage match.
So who wins - and who loses - with a two-stage Match?
Yup, we’re breaking it down Winners & Losers style right here:

Fun fact: I use OMM to treat somatic dysfunctions as an allopathic physician. It can be a great tool.
💬 @DustynWilliams on our new OMM book: "It's not just a book. With a comprehensive Qbank and video series for practical application, we're going where no one in OMM has gone before: the standardization of a completely asynchronous learning environment for Osteopathic Medicine."
Dear, @OnlineMedEd, can you tell each other - and @DustynWilliams especially - that you have basically saved my medical degree during COVID. Sincerely, a British medical student. 🇬🇧
On shot attempt 8 for an OB vid and I can't help but think about the Tupac hologram at Coachella and how I might be able to use that technology as a stand-in 😅

Today we transported donated cat litter to Dell Children's Hospital here in Austin. The staff and patients were literally using cat litter in trays to go to the bathroom. #MedTwitter
From a source at @dellchildrens hospital in Austin this morning:

ALT Yes, I am. There is still no water or update on water. I know there was a broken pipe on the fourth floor, and I don’t know if that’s the primary cause of the outage. The toilets are filling up and won’t flush so the nurses are using kitty litter in trash bags to dispose of waste. The temperature in our room seems stable, but the main areas are very cold. We are waiting on a surgery, but I’m not sure when it will be or if they can operate without water. The nurses and staff are working very hard and staying positive.
That is not a tweet I ever foresaw as a possibility. Kudos to the resourcefulness? And to the community for making the donations. Frustrated is the word of the week across the state
The USMLE has $40m reasons to find a replacement. Give my team a tenth of that and we'd have a better solution by EOY.
Honored to help as much in the Sudan as we do in the US! We are proud to make it accessible to everyone. #MEOWW (medical education online worldwide) @OnlineMedEd

Re @StanfordMed: remember that algorithms are opinions trained on datasets. If there is bias in either, the code delivers biased results. Spend 10 min watching @mathbabedotorg shed light; it's once of the most important @TEDTalks out there.
