The US government buying crypto isn't adoption It's absorption Bitcoin was built to escape the system, not to get a seat at its table Watching CT cheer for the state buying feels like watching people celebrate their escape hatch getting sealed shut The entire point of crypto was returning monetary sovereignty to individuals You don't win when the empire buys the rebellion

Why are so many games still so stingy when it comes to supporting creators? 😭 Guys... giving creators a few good ingame packs to actually play, test and showcase your game is not going to bankrupt you. Look at the difference plz; Web2: “Have you played our game? Do you like it?” “Yes. I've tried it, got the packs, and I'm loving it. BTW, are there new skins coming?” ... BOOM. The guild spends $50K in a month. Web3: “Want to play our game?” “Sure.” “Great! You can buy the Founder Pack. Buy stamina with USDT/USDC. We're adding fiat too. You can use your referral link, you get 5% from purchases.” “Hmmmmmmmm.... okay. Can I make some content to share about the games?” “Absolutely! We'll give your community 5 × $5 beginner boxes and you get 3 boxes for yourself.”🤦‍♀️ Guys... we can do better. If you want creators to genuinely understand and showcase your game, let them actually experience the game. 🚨 And please work with relevant creators, not just whoever has the biggest follower number. 🚨 You'll be surprised how much honest, critical feedback you can get from creators who actually play. And before someone says, “But Nicky, Web2 doesn't have P2E.” My brother... Monetizing your time, skill, community and achievements in games has existed forever. We just called it different things. Web3 gaming doesn't need to reinvent player incentives. It needs to learn how to market games better.

100% agree with Ben. Local markets and hubs are what give an economy real flow. They create arbitrage, transport jobs, genuine risk in moving assets, and a reason to control territory. Strip them out and, exactly as he said, the map goes flat: movement centralizes to a single point, and an entire profit modality, plus the gameplay around it, disappears. In The Citadel, every player hub is separated by a breach region. The breach is the game. Moving both assets and players between hubs is contested, and every resource and item enters the economy by being fought over in a breach. So owning the hub that controls a path, and its local market, becomes valuable. Breaches aren't interchangeable. They differ in resource profiles, map structure, rarity distributions, item drops, and NPC content. Say a mineral only spawns up in the Foundry Descent, while demand for it sits down at the Krath Terminus hub. Now you've got a steady flow of haulers running that route, and that flow spawns its own predators, players who camp it to pirate them as they pass. None of this happens under a frictionless global marketplace. Breaches can also spin up with dynamic modifiers, limited-time events that change the loot, difficulty, or resources of a breach until it closes. That makes it valuable to keep ships staged across different hubs, ready to capitalize on events as they appear on the overworld map. The image below shows the beginning of our world. Eventually there will be numerous hub and breach regions, each with its own content and its own reason for players to explore.
having a global bank & trading post makes the map effectively flat economics wise - each region is just a reskin of the same thing. people kept farming same spots prev Gold Rush seasons b/c they found the local maxima for energy efficiency. if we dynamically shift where the rich areas are + give each city a bonus for certain types of resource refining, it adds another layer of depth to expeditions. if u layer regional bank/trading onto that, each city has its own supply/demand curve for resources - e.g. if New Mortis has the hot zone people have to buy up fish nearby to farm it. now you create demand for people to transport fish from capital to New Mortis using wagons, and potentially get ambushed along the way. ppl can hire pvpers to escort, etc. even more layers on top if you want to get complicated - guilds shutting down transports in and out of cities to monopolize certain hot spots. trading post heats up with supply shock. to be top efficient adventurer there's a lot more strategic variables to think through. you can always teleport betwen cities with the travel planner, just paying a massive curved / scaling cost if you carry gear/wep/stuff with you. closest analog here is Albion which has done what's described here extremely well (except for the energy cost in $ / time part which is unique in Gold Rush and creates interesting decisions). with the stakes of Gold Rush seasons, will be interesting to see play out.

Season 1 of @The_Beacon_GG had a rough start. I wanted to post my gameplay much sooner, but I just couldn't get a good recording in due to the lag. 🫠 Thankfully, after a series of patches, the game is running much smoother now so I can finally show off my skills. 💪
