He threw down the charcoal stove stop and started running They chased him and eventually caught him around 1pm They brought him back to where the bosses and the young boys were waiting and again order the boys to finish him The boys still refused. The they kill him in front of them, and his body was left there We didn't even know what had happened to him until about five months later, when some of the boys escaped and came back home then told us This is one part of the war I can never forget💔

During the war, all the grass was burned. People in our village sleep in a simsim garden which had some grasses That night, someone from another village directed the rebels to where we were sleeping. They came with torches and lay down quietly near us, planning to attack By God’s grace, I move with our dog. It sense them and started barking. The rebels whistled, jumped up, and started running towards us My sister couldn’t run coz her leg was swollen, and our neighbour had a terrible toothache. We had to leave them behind. They were badly beaten We ran and ran. Every sound we heard, we thought it was their whistle. Even the moonlight looked like their torches. We just kept running We ran until morning. That’s when I realised my rubber skirt had fallen off while running. I run the whole night… naked😭 I will never forget what shit we went through

When the war intensify, everyone went to the camp, but he & four others stay behind One morning, while he was in the compound wearing one of his navy suit, the rebels appear... the boss like the suit and order him to bring all the suits from where is hiding or they will kill him. He bought them and they took everything, even his Imperial Leather soap and blue umoja slipper 😂😭 They ask about his children. He told them another group of rebel took all of them. They felt pity for him and ask him to escort them Along the way, they abducted two people. They killed one and ask my dad to cry on behalf of the family and one was ask to dig a grave and bury him while they watch them At 6pm, he arrive to the camp barefoot, shirtless and in short pants, with tears all over his face If we had still been in the village, we could all have been gone. Thankfully, we were already in the camp🥲
