This statement is for BOTH sides! "It is easier to full the fool than to convince them they have been fooled!" Why?? 1. Pride & Ego!! Admitting you were fooled hurts your image of self as a smart and rational person. 2. Cognitive Dissonance!! When new facts clash with your beliefs, the brain feels deep mental discomfort and rejects the truth in order to protect Pride & Ego! 3. Confirmation Bias!! People will always seek out information that supports their beliefs even if it is factually WRONG! So how do you avoid this?? It's pretty easy! You have to have a personal relationship with God!
