My neighbor was telling me the other day about him and his wife getting invited to a Halloween costume party. Unfortunately, right before they were supposed to leave, she came down with a bad headache and told him to go alone. He protested, but she insisted she was just going to take some aspirin and go to bed. So, he took his costume and headed out. After sleeping soundly for an hour, she woke up completely pain-free. Since it was still early, she decided to go to the party after all. Her husband didn't know what her costume was, so she thought it would be fun to watch him and see how he acted when she wasn't around. She joined the party and soon spotted her husband on the dance floor, dancing and flirting with every woman he could. She went up to him, and being a rather seductive babe herself, he immediately left his partner to devote his time to her. She let him go as far as he wished, since he was her husband. Finally, he whispered a little proposition in her ear and she agreed. They went out to one of the cars and had their fun. Just before unmasking at midnight, she slipped away, went home, put her costume away, and got into bed, wondering what kind of explanation he would make. She was sitting up reading when he came in, and she asked what kind of a time he had. He said, "Oh, the same old thing. You know I never have a good time when you're not there." "Did you dance much?" "You know, I never even got a chance. When I got there, I met up with Dave, John Hatfield, and some other guys, and we just went straight into the den and played poker all evening. But you're not going to believe what happened to the guy I loaned my costume to? I heard he got lucky!"
