What does mentorship really mean for early-career scientists?🌎 “You can stand on the shoulders of giants and see far off.” ✨ At the Next-Gen Women’s Biomedical Research Advancement Project (WRAP 2.0), @DrosophilaRTC, supported by @BiochemSoc, we unpacked how learning from those ahead of you can fast-track your career and the characteristics of a good mentor. Professor Olufunke Fayehun (@FayehunFunke) provided a detailed breakdown for participants during her session and answered their questions. 🎥 Catch highlights in the video below. What are your biggest takeaways or thoughts on mentorship in biomedical research? Share with us in the comments below👇🏽

Thank you so much, dear Dr. Igbalajobi @olumuyiwaayo, for visiting @DrosLabUI yesterday! We truly appreciate your support and all you do for the community. #Gratitude #Collaboration
It was an honor to meet Prof. Amos Abolaji (@amosabolaji) yesterday at the University of Ibadan. I had the privilege of visiting their Drosophila breeding facility and am deeply grateful for our partnership with the DRT Center established last year. Every quarter, students in our mentorship programs at Scholarships Cafe benefit from free six-week training sessions at the center. Most importantly, I discussed the issue of the English proficiency test at UI with him, and he provided valuable insights that I will be following up on next week.
