EVEREST: THE OTHER SIDE is visually breathtaking, every mountain scaling moment riveting and anxiety inducing. Its emotional beats are morally gray at times- almost exploitative- but is often approached with such sincerity from Chai/Chin that it ultimately succeeds. IMAX for sure
Oh? The Odyssey 4K pre-order for only $26?! BOUGHT. This and the Criterion 4K of Kpop Demon Hunters arriving around my birthday next month makes me a happy physical media collector boy 😜
It's been 48 hours and all I can think about is YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING. I can't stop. I just want to watch it again. And think about it more. And talk about it. And hear OTHER people talk about it. And watch people talk about. And read about it. I want EVERYTHING.
I'm still picking my jaw up off the floor YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING is an indescribable work, a singular vision with no comps in a century of cinema. Filmmaking- not just documentary, EVERYTHING in motion pictures- will never be the same again after this. I could watch this forever.

Were it not for MK2, STREET FIGHTER would be one of the worst video game adaptions of the year. Fun in short bursts, it's so manic and messy - incapable of sitting still long enough to have any. 30 second scenes and no two ever connect to each other. Andrew Koji deserves better.
Here's the thing. I don't need STREET FIGHTER to be good. I just need it to be fun. #NowWatching
WILDWOOD is WONDERFUL! A technical marvel of animation, an unmatched display of meticulous craft of scale and scope to match its epic ambitious world building. Visually arresting, emotionally affecting- animated storytelling at its finest. Laika is just showing off at this point.
