The Russian Plan!
This is precisely what the arrest list of Georgian Dream is following. Methodically, they are arresting absolutely every single person who fought against Russia. Irakli Okruashvili, Aleko Elisashvili, and now Gia Baramidze as well...
It is undeniable that a list of people who, in their view, must be "punished" has been handed over directly from Russia.
Furthermore, Kobakhidze's recent rhetoric regarding so-called "Russophobia" and the Treaty of Georgievsk is in absolute sync with Partskhaladze-Romanov [the former General Prosecutor who set up a military unit to fight for Russia and called it Georgievsk]. Opening a criminal case over the insulting of Simonyan marks a transition to yet another new stage. They are now speaking to Russia very openly. This, in itself, is a sign that they are being forced to make a final choice.
We—Georgian society, the opposition, the citizens—must decisively respond to Russia in this situation.
Coalition for Change: The detention of Giorgi Baramidze by the regime on false charges of treason is a display of classic Russian cynicism and an attempt to mask its own treacherous policies

I would like to thank you once again for your support and provide you with an update regarding my health.
1. Pain management has already begun, which has brought me great relief, and a few days after moving to the clinic, I feel much better.
2. Intensive and highly qualified medical examinations are underway, the results of which will ultimately determine my treatment. I would also like to note that cooperation with both the Penitentiary Service and Vivamedi is constructive. At this stage, I have all kinds of support and facilitation.
3. The moment the doctors give me permission, of course, I will return to my 'native' Rustavi prison. And I will come out [of prison] together with all the other political prisoners.
Once again, I would like to say a big thank you to my guardian physicians: Maka Ioseliani and Ani Kavtaradze. Also, to the Todua Clinic for their warm and qualified reception.

Thank you for your service! You are a true friend of Georgia, and this is precisely why the regime has been so persistent to undermine you. They could not. The genuine appreciation and gratitude of Georgians toward you says it all! @Diplo_Peter 🇬🇪 🇩🇪 🇪🇺

As the Special Penitentiary Service discusses with Elene Khoshtaria’s doctor whether she will be transferred to a civilian clinic for a comprehensive treatment, people gather there to support Elene. @Helenkhosh

According to lawyer Shota Tutberidze, the health condition of the detained leader of the @DroaParty, Elene Khoshtaria @Helenkhosh, has deteriorated.
The lawyer stated that two weeks have already passed since they requested the penitentiary facility to develop and present a treatment plan and to organize a meeting. However, they have not received a response to this request to date.
"Elene Khoshtaria has been unlawfully detained in the correctional facility for 10 months now, where a gradual and noticeable deterioration of her health condition began 4 months ago.
During every visit, we, her lawyers, notice symptoms that could indicate an alarming condition. These include:
- Severe joint pain;
- Difficulty moving;
- Periodic restriction of joint mobility, due to which she is sometimes unable to even write and requires a cane to move around.
Elene Khoshtaria did not intend to make this information public. However, after becoming convinced that both the prison medical staff and the director of the facility failed to show proper attention, she decided to share the information about her condition with the public.
Elene has no complaints against the facility staff, specifically the nurses and officers. However, the attitude of the facility's medical personnel and director towards this issue is noteworthy — the medical examinations or procedures they have conducted over these 4 months have been sporadic, non-systemic, and ineffective.
Because she still lacks the necessary answers and a treatment plan, we consulted with Elene's treating physicians at a clinic in Turkey.
According to the evaluation of the Turkish doctors, without proper treatment and in the event of further deterioration, Elene's health could suffer irreversible damage—for example, she might no longer be able to move without a wheelchair. The assessments and recommendations sent by the Turkish doctors were handed over to the medical staff of Penitentiary Facility No. 5 approximately 2 months ago, immediately upon receipt.
Furthermore, it has been two weeks since Elene Khoshtaria's lawyer approached the penitentiary facility requesting the development and presentation of a treatment plan for the political prisoner, as well as the organization of a meeting. To this day, we have not received a response to this request, which once again demonstrates the Penitentiary Service's negligent attitude toward the health of prisoners and the obligations prescribed to them by law," states Shota Tutberidze.

URGENT ‼️ Details of Elene Khoshtaria's deteriorating health in unlawful imprisonment.
@DroaParty leader @Helenkhosh was examined by rheumatologist Maka Ioseliani.
As the doctor explained, Elene Khoshtaria is experiencing "severe pain, has difficulty moving independently, uses a cane, and while struggling, she is able to perform certain movements within the scope of self-care."
According to the doctor, a complete examination of the patient "could not be managed, despite the patient's efforts, due to severe pain." She believes that "the examination should be conducted in a multi-profile clinic to rule out all possible options and calculate all risks."
"As a result of the patient's examination, damage to several joints was revealed—both peripheral and central. We are talking about several joints, including small joints, phalanges, knees, and hips, some of which could not be fully examined, despite the patient's efforts, due to severe pain.
I reviewed the radiological examination conducted in April 2026. It reveals changes characteristic of a rheumatic disease; there is the sacroiliac joint, the inflammation of which is manifested. Generally, there is severe pain, the patient has difficulty moving independently, uses a cane, and while struggling, she performs certain movements within the scope of self-care.
According to this data, we are talking about a rheumatic pathology—specifically an inflammatory joint pathology, which is likely progressing. This is because in 2024, only peripheral joints were involved (meaning the knee and shoulder); there were no small joints, and most importantly, there was no sacroiliac joint involvement, which radically changes the diagnosis for rheumatology.
In 2024, a diagnosis of reactive arthritis was made by Turkish colleagues [because it couldn't be completed, the full picture wasn't available]. Now it has radically changed: peripheral joints and small joints have been added, and what significantly alters the diagnosis is the inflammation of the spine, specifically its crucial part—the sacroiliac joint.
However, the problem does not end there. In 2024, the presence of hemolytic anemia was recorded in the Republic of Turkey.
During the same period, there was also mention of certain infections for which she received treatment. At a certain point in 2024, there was also talk of lung damage, which could not be fully verified.
All of this makes it essential to conduct examinations. It is important to consult several specialists and run numerous tests. It is also necessary to determine the role of the autoimmune hemolytic anemia, an issue in the Republic of Turkey that was only resolved after using a high dose of hormones.
Examining the patient was difficult despite her willingness. This difficulty was due to pain. The patient found it hard to lie down on the medical table for the examination. We could not examine the sacroiliac joint due to pain, nor could the movement of the hip joint be assessed.
I believe that the examination should be conducted in a multi-profile clinic to rule out all possible options and calculate all risks.
No doctor in any country will or can start treatment until a full examination is completed," rheumatologist Maka Ioseliani stated at today's briefing.

Unlawfully jailed Droa party leader (Coalition for Change), Elene Khoshtaria's health has deteriorated significantly, even compared to a few days ago.
Ani Kavtaradze, Coalition for Change politician and doctor herself, visited Elene today and stated that her level of suffering combined with medical neglect since December 6 and impossibility of a comprehensive treatment at a penitentiary facility amount to torture.
@GiorgiButikash2, Coalition for Change, rightfully stated:
"Elene's condition did not worsen naturally, it was worsened by the regime, which from December until now consciously failed to carry out the necessary, complex and systematic treatment. Although they knew exactly her medical record and risks, the mother of four children was brought to her health worse due to professional indifference and vindictiveness. This is exactly the true face of the Georgian Dream. This is how it treats a person, this is how it governs the country, and that's how they understand Christianity."
