People around you, constantly under the pull of their emotions, change their ideas by the day or by the hour, depending on their mood. You must never assume that what people say or do in a particular moment is a statement of their permanent desires.

In her twenties, she decided not to sign with a management company. She built her own instead. Beyoncé did something almost nobody at the start of a solo career does: she walked away from the standard industry split before she'd even proven the solo career would work. In 2008, she founded Parkwood Entertainment, named after the street she grew up on in Houston. It wasn't a vanity label. It became a vertically integrated company controlling her production, distribution, touring, merchandising, film, and brand partnerships, all under one roof she owned. That structure changed the math entirely. By self-producing her tours and controlling distribution, she kept a share of the revenue that artists working through conventional deals never see. Ivy Park, her athleisure line, grew out of the same company. None of it answered to a record label. The part that actually matters in her story. > Managing herself wasn't a rejection of help. It was a rejection of giving away ownership before she had to.  > A record label and a production company aren't the same thing, and she built the second one specifically so she'd never be stuck depending on the first.  > Every new venture ran through the same company, not a new deal with a new set of terms. That's what compounding ownership actually looks like. Beyoncé didn't just become one of the best-selling artists of all time. She built the company that made sure she kept what she earned from it. That's what figures of authority do. Inside Top 5% Method®% Method®, I study Figures of Authority like her for one reason: the executives who keep what they earn are the ones who build the structure before anyone offers them a deal. C'est ça la vraie vie 🌸

Read this, study this, embrace this. Keep your circle small, fully supportive of you, genuine and intentional. Happy Saturday.
People will constantly attack you in life. One of their main weapons will be to instill in you doubts about yourself – your worth, your abilities, your potential. They will often disguise this as their objective opinion, but invariably it has a political purpose – they want to keep you down.
