Some thoughts on the Lindsay Clancy trial as we enter closing arguments. I thought the final two witnesses (Dr. Heilbrun and Dr. Saathoff) substantially reshaped the narrative, contrary to both the prosecution's and defense's characterizations of Lindsay.

However, Heilbrun and Saathoff convincingly, IMO, rejected the defense's stances that: 1.) she heard a voice commanding her to do (it was her own intrusive thoughts); 2.) She wasn't in control (She was), and 3.) She could not appreciate her actions were wrong (She could and did).

As for allowing in such broad financial crimes evidence (none was excluded, as justices pointed out), that seems where the state has the steepest hill to climb. Chief Justice Kittredge seemed by the end to "get" Waters' point about full context, but still not sure all were sold.
