Practically every week there’s a new story about an Islamist terrorist arriving in Britain on a small boat and applying for asylum. The UK has a death wish, says Hugo Timms

🛶 We constantly talk about ‘small boats’, but there’s nothing ‘small’ about it.
This isn’t a few blokes standing on a beach in Calais.
It’s an international organised crime syndicate operating a multi-million-pound business model.
🛑 The British public don’t want fewer boats. They want them stopped altogether.

This is Mohammed Yaseen.
He was part of Al Qaeda and ISIS. He’s been accused of assisting bombings and beheadings.
He was jailed in Germany, and then came here by boat.
He was just freed having served 6 months in prison. He’s already broken his licence.
This is what the Tories and Labour have done.
Tea towels and full-face nose bags are everywhere in our towns and cities now.
The Free Speech Union was proud to support @BrodieMitchell1.
It is not a crime to say that a keffiyeh looks like a “tea towel”.
We wish Brodie all the very best with the rest of his studies.

The West’s failure to hold the moral line after 7 October has started a fire of anti-civilisational hysteria that it will be incredibly difficult to put out. Just look at France, says Brendan O’Neill

France has been conquered by ‘Palestine’. Mobs are burning down historic buildings and smashing statues, all while waving the Palestine flag. Maybe France should have listened to Israel and taken a stand against the Islamist pox, says Brendan O’Neill

Jury trials are a cornerstone of our criminal justice system and an essential safeguard against a repressive state and an increasingly militant cancel culture mob.
The last Government proposed significantly curbing our right to a jury trial.
FSU research shows that people charged with speech-related offences are almost twice as likely to be acquitted in a Crown Court jury trial as in a magistrates’ court.
Put simply, more people could be jailed for exercising their right to free speech.
Andy Burnham called jury trials a “lynchpin of a fair society” and has made some changes to Lammy’s proposals. But the plans remain very much alive.
Today, the Free Speech Union is heading to Downing Street to deliver our petition, calling on Burnham and his Government to guarantee our right to a jury trial.
Thank you to everyone who signed.
A black Christian woman shows more guts than almost the entire political class to call out the militant Islamic threat we now all face.
Every single word of this is perfect. @ada_akpala calls out Islamist blasphemy laws through the back door, two-tier free speech, two-tier policing, and two-tier justice in one go.

Last year, the British people were forced to spend £23 billion on welfare benefits, pensions & child support for foreign nationals. By the year 2030 it will be £30 billion.
Who voted for this?

Came begging back. What an embarrassment. Where is her big in with the Hollywood crowd. I would the mortified if I were Megan and Harry crawling back to the UK when they left like a couple of pompous assholes.

The police watchdog has found that the Met may have unfairly arrested Graham Linehan because of his gender-critical beliefs.
Last September, the Irish comedian was arrested at Heathrow by five armed police officers, then detained and questioned. His blood pressure rose so dangerously high that he needed treatment at A&E.
His “crime”? Three gender-critical posts on X.
With support from the Free Speech Union, @Glinner sent the Met a pre-action letter arguing that his arrest was unlawful. The force apologised publicly and paid him £25,000 in compensation.
Graham also complained to the Met’s Director of Professional Standards about the way he was arrested and detained. The Met’s internal review described its handling of the case as “unacceptable”, but no officers were disciplined.
Now the Independent Office for Police Conduct has said the review “did not go far enough” and its findings were “not reasonable or proportionate”. It has ordered the Met to reinvestigate how Graham was treated, including whether he was treated unfairly because of his gender-critical views, which are protected under the Equality Act 2010.
This is a welcome development. The reinvestigation will examine whether political bias played a part in the Met’s treatment of Graham — and bring us one step closer to ensuring the police focus on policing our streets, not our tweets.

Due to the Government’s insane pursuit of net zero, destruction of coal-fired power stations .., yesterday, our country blew 50 million quid just to balance the grid.
Imagine what that money could have bought.
The British people have been cruelly betrayed.
Yesterday, @neso_energy spent a record *£50m* in grid balancing costs….to keep the lights on.
In one day. A warm, sunny day.
This is unsustainable. What is going on at NESO? Why are their models so wrong?
Acting like royals while being 'private citizens' is just confusing the public now. The monarchy can't withstand much more of this nonsense. Republicans must be cheering the grifters on at every step.

"Yes I do." For adultery stoning to death.

Does this Government have no shame?
The whole process of drafting and implementing the official definition of “anti-Muslim hostility” stinks.
First, Angela Rayner appointed five people to the Working Group tasked with drafting the definition. All had previously expressed support for the need for a definition, and all had troubling links to Islamist organisations.
Second, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government said it had deleted all responses to the Working Group’s consultation. That appeared to contradict the Government’s own data policy and has only fuelled speculation that Islamist extremists may have had an opportunity to influence the process.
Third, the Ministry has now admitted that it did not delete the responses after all: they still exist on the department’s data system.
What on earth is going on? It is time for Angela Rayner to come clean with the British public.
Burnham's just another socialist drone who doesn't take the safety and security of British communities seriously enough.
